It is almost perfect in everyway for me too, especially the move to serato will make things more simple for me. and with traktor there is so much always going i feel i need to change mappings slightly all the time that i really hate as things get confusing.
I will be waiting i guess just annoyed the date was always changing and still there was a date given in the end but is that the time i will get it if there is over 150 people in front of me and no idea what stock amount they will get has left me feeling maybe trying to go a different route but i will be waiting. thanks to both of you.

    Thanks, was a great help.
Just another problem now, what brands should i look at buying and what ones to avoid?
Found some sets on musicstore.com but seems rather cheap not complaining about the cheapness but ill rather not buy something that would be crap.
Was these i was leaning more towards http://www.musicstore.de/en_EN/GBP/JBL-JRX-125-500Watt-4Ohm-2×15-Passive-Box/art-PAH0003032-000

I have had a bad experience buying second hand in the past so i tend to stay away from it now. (not trying to worry you more here) but i quite like to buy from thomann.de or musicstore.com technically there the same but some have better offers than the other. they both offer B stock items for around 5 – 10% of the original price and they still come with the 3 year warranty. Also if your not happy with the item you can send it back within 30 days for a full refund or exchange.

Just a little tip here that might save you some time and money here.

You will need to request proof from the previous owner that he/she has unregistered the product before selling it to you. Note that this process can take up to 2 weeks. Until his license is unregistered, you will not be able to active the license in your name.

Ive tried it running from using my mouse keyboard and mixtrack pro and neither of them have managed to take the sound completly out. could it be some mapping problem as im quite sure its not hardware.

Thanks for the info but i am already using it on classic and it dont fully remove all the sound. it does with the kill buttons, but but really need the knobs to take the sound fully out.

In primary school there was 3 choices.
    Recorder
    violin
    saxophone
    I learnt the recorder..

But in high school i did learn the keyboard for the first 3 years. And played the drums for about 2 years before getting into djing.

Ive been told djs are a cheat to the music industry stealing tracks for free from the internet and then destroying them to make them there own and making a fortune of these.
One great reason why a real dj wouldnt do this is who wants to show up to a set and play poor quality music.

Another one was my mother and other family members saying assosiating with the likes of djs and raves will end you up being a drug addict.
If anything this would make me want to try them. But i have never used drugs and dont even drink alchohol. (except for getting on an areoplane)

    1/10

Bought a mixtrack pro was well excited waiting for it to come. It finally made it here on a friday while i was at work got home at around 1130 pm spent ages trying to set it up fast and failing. Finally after a long time setting it up about 2am now found out i couldnt find my headphone adapter how disapointed i was. so i spent about 2 more hours trying to play it very quietly on my stereo system. failing terriably.
If only i had gone to bed early i would have been able to go to shop on saturday and buy adapter but i slept in until 9 am started work at 10 till 6 and after this all shops are closed.
So finally come monday i buy the adapter get home and having a great time very nooby style of mixing but having an amazing time. 2 hours later i was in need of some pain killers and right behind the box was my adapter!
So really after all this and was completly setup fine i would say
    fun factor 8/10
    mixing style 1/10
I still have so much to learn, even though i have done some djing live in the past there was no real mixing needed it was just one song to another along side a mate. mobile djing.
After reading these forums and buying Phils dj tutorial i beleave i have improved much much more.
so now i would rate my experience
    fun factor 10/10
    mixing style 5/10

Can only keep getting better, especially with these forums.

Sorry to borrow your thread. But has anyone had any experience with Numark headphones?
    NUMARK ELECTROWAVE
    NUMARK REDWAVE

These are 2 i found on thomann website, I can only mail order and nearest shop to me is almost 300km away to test any djing headphones.
I beleave all my gear is going to be Numark so thats reason on wondering but if they are not good im open to suggestions.

You could try changing the audio settings. Try it using the WASAPI shared mode.
also if your pc is more than 6 months old chances are a system restore will put things back in order.

For the question on the Kontrol x1 its perfect for using as a sample deck. Im not overly pleased with the mapping that comes with it but it really is easy enough to change it to how you want it. There is also a very good mapping on tracktorbible for this aswell.
If i choose the DDJ T1 as my next upgrade i will still be using the x1 alongside it.
