I’ve checked that file for you in Traktor – it has a very slight varying beatgrid.
Traktor cannot beatgrid that for you perfectly.

You have a few options:

1. Forget beatgriding it and mix in and out manually.
2. Set the beat grid perfectly at the begining so you can mix in using sync then manually mix out.
3. Set the beat grid at the end of the tune (after the break) so the outro is perfectly beatgrid – then manually mix in and use sync out.
4. Forget this tune and move on – you will find this issue in 1 in every 50-100 tunes.

Personally I don’t know much or anything about the process of remixing.
But if you can post the original song and then your remixed version as well as describing what you have changed and what you are trying to achieve – I think more people will be able to give you some feedback.

I listened to the track and it sounds ok – but without knowing what your trying to achieve I’ve no idea whether you are close to your goal?

I’ve been listening to your podcasts recently and i’m really enjoying them.

However, you did surprise me with one of your recoird choices – Rick Astley!

I use an external mixer in my setup – I use Audacity to record my mixes because I can’t use Traktor’s internal recording facility.
