I remember there was an article here on digitaldjtips.com, “PC vs. MAC” I think, where this one commenter promised Phil he was going to post an optimization. I hope it’s still in the works. It would be really cool to see a Windows 7 Audio Optimization guide, specifically tailored to laptop DJ’ing.

I have been Working on a ‘Martin Solveig – Hello’ Remix; and it has been a Nightmare; as other than the First Verse; None of the Rest of the Acapella fits into a 4/8/16/32 Beat; and so I have had to Cut It Up (the Acapella); and Re-arrange it (with Great Difficulty) so that it Does Fit with the Track I have Composed; That’s odd, I remixed that track and found it pretty straight forward, no need for fancy cuts. Vocal is at 128.00BPM
http://soundcloud.com/deejaypaddy/martin-solveig-ft-dragonetteOT: google the BPM and listen to the song on youtube to find the vocals downbeat if you don’t own the original. I prefer doing it in ableton in case there are any bridges to fix or drifts to warp, then grid it.

Audition is a lovely replacement (yeah that open beta was a very nice touch). I’ve used SF for years and it’s the only software I found comfortable with after changing sides.

ParticipantX1 S4 combo along with a 09 13″ MBP (swapped the HD for a 500gb one and put 8gb of RAM) and HDJ2000 cans. Recently found a Marshall footpedal laying around so playing a bit with it before going out to buy an unlatched one.
An Oxygen49 and iPad for production.
