ParticipantI’ve had a good look and there is nothing currently that works with serato that ticks all the boxes for me, Vestax is not my cup of tea and the NV is closest to what I like but the tune select screen puts me off as its doesn’t show the key. It looks like I’ll sit and wait to see what else serato brings out. I would love to see a novation twitch 2.

ParticipantHi Karl,
I took hours just to getting all the mappings tight, in the end I wasn’t happy with them so I sold my controller and brought a Novation Twitch. I found Serato is so much better then vdj and it was free.

ParticipantIt is a nice mix, I like it alot. It reminds me the after parties in brighton 10 years ago, really nice vibe. My only dislike was the first track but that just down to personal preference. keep up the good work

ParticipantDude chill out man! I havent been online for a while. I appreciate your feedback but I dont necessarily agree with it all. I’m not a serious DJ, I just make mixes for friends and do occasional parties. I’m pro dominantly a Deep House DJ, so any mixes i record which aren’t deep house are requested by friends (ie track list). I find this mixing sweet point you talk about quite interesting, when i started many years back i was told always to get the last min from deck a to the first min of deck b (and vice versa) where possible, have i been doing it wrong all these years? I shall listen to your mix as you did mine after all.

ParticipantI read the 300 doesn’t have any fx functions, is this true?
Ophkey
ParticipantDay and night mode, only 5 fx, its only possible to loop down to one bar and it lack internal recording

ParticipantI’m gonna get a itch controller soon as i sell my tm2, looks like i’ll have to get a twitch (and a mini amp haha) for the time being, i can do gigs with intro, its too limited. I wanna get a 380 is time but i’m sure a few more itch controllers will be popping up befor christmas

ParticipantI have email both Reloop and Serato but neither have replied, I am willing to sit tight for another 6 months but if there is no sort of upgrade or upgrade to itch option, then i will be forced to sell my beloved tm2 and and invest in a vci-380!

ParticipantThanks Phil

ParticipantI prefer Serato over its competitors and I love my TM2. I just wish there was a upgrade option, all i want is a day mode toggle, some more effects and internal recording software. I find it astonishing that there are 12 dj intro controllers and only 7 itch controllers. If Serato gave us the option to upgrade to itch, for a price i think they would make a lot of money. Looking at the dj intro controllers i’m a little confused, why is the vci-400 an intro dj controller? when the vci-380 is a itch controller? Why has the Twitch got a itch licence, when there are controllers more expensive (and with better sound cards) with dj intro licences?
I’m not keen on traktor, using a tm2 I cant get complete kills unlike with serato and the sound quality isnt as good as serato in my opinion, but if serato doesn’t pull there finger out i will have use traktor!Ophkey
Participant“Some users have reported problems with Serato DJ Intro running on machines with AMD processors. Our in-house testing has also shown that AMD equipped PCs can, in some cases cause serious performance problems.
Due to the number of reports we have had of this problem we do not support machines with AMD processors for use with Serato DJ Intro.”
There for I have to get a laptop with an i3
