    – I’m in a similar situation, but I’m a club dj who’s looking to move from cdjs (don’t own my own pair, but I’ve been djing a while on Mk1000s in various clubs).

I’ve been looking into getting my own controller and it’s between the S2 and Twitch for me too with my price range. I’ve spent a lot of time practising using just Traktor and my keyboard, but although I’m comfortable with Traktor I’m think I’m happy to make the switch to Itch. I’ve found hot cue jumping to be a lot of fun with traktor and Twitch allows 8 cues where s2 only seems to have 4.

I’d try out the trial software before making up your mind. I downloaded Serato Itch and although it only lets you play with one deck until you connect hardware you kind of get a feel for what it might be like. Itch looks quite simple but I’d say it looks uncluttered (which is a good thing), and the track management system (with crates) looks very tidy to me.

Although Itch itself may be less cluttered and easier to get your head around than Traktor I’d say the S2 itself is a more familiar and traditionally set out controller compared to the Twitch. Which you might find easier to get to grips with. I think they both look like fantastic controllers though, so I don’t think you’ll go wrong.

Could I just ask though where you can still get an S2 for £330? Because I’m still very much on the fence and am only leaning heavily towards Twitch because of the current £100 difference.
