Show happened, was a blast. Had about 40-50 people cycle through on a thursday, and a great mix of DnB/Break/Electro/Dub & Drumstep/Hardstyle. The venue wants to continue the event, so next month we’re going for a weekend slot, opening 2 hours earlier with electronic bands to open up for the djs, and so on so forth. Keep in touch.

Alright, so 24 hours from now the show will be wrapping up, I’m pretty stoked.

If this night goes over well (It’s a smaller spot, 75 man occupancy) we’ll be able to start up shows more frequently/ extending the event and snagging more DJs/lights/SUBWOOFERS. Let’s see how the whole above-ground rave-themed party goes.

I feel you on the ns7 II, I’ve been craving it ever since I saw the first picture. Was playing on an ns7 at guitar center today, the platters feel SOOOOOOO much better than my 4trak. It’s kinda like playing a cheap synthesizer, then playing on weighted keys. I just can’t go back

I started showing up to open mics at bars, and pumped a little money into the bar in the form of drinks. After a while, they had an issue regarding a DJ, and I was there fallback plan I suppose.

Thanks for the compliment; your sets are pretty nasty as well. I used to just jam hardstyle, but started mixing slow hardcore, gabber, speedcore and terrorcore to get me from any bpm 95-250. Wasn’t a big fan of gabber at first, but that shit grew on me =D

I hear ya on that one. Headhunterz is one of my favorite artists, everything that man touches becomes gold.

Demo mix up, we have 1 week left. I’m going to be getting the light setup tomorrow. I haven’t been this excited for a show since……..ever. No Avicii in my set whatsoever……… thank fucking god XD.

When I’m casually listening to music, I stick to classical these days. I love most of the music I play, but it does wear on you fast (practicing and hearing the same track 10-15x, uggh).

Yeah…… DC has some fun in store for it. Wish I had more funds, I’d totally be down for making this happen everywhere I possibly could.

yeah, figured as much. Is there any potential in creating custom effects in Ableton, using the bridge, and then using a mpc to trigger said effects? I’m just too in love with an akai pad 4 channeled motorized platter controller…….shit’s beat.

    Oh no…….this conversation.

My TLDR opinion; if you plan on producing in FL, go windows. If you plan on producing in Logic, go Mac. Itunes is a nice perk, but the ”nobody programs viruses for macs” argument is slowly becoming invalid. Both are fully competent, the only determining decision is dependent on which djing/production software you are planning to use, and OS compatibility with each. I wouldn’t wineskin DJing/production software, latency becomes a problem.
