ParticipantI think you should save a little more and go for the Numark Mixtrack Pro. I’ve had it for 3 months and love it. It does everything you need for a low price.

ParticipantI hate what people are saying about young DJ’s, I’m 13 and have bought all of my equipment AND worked for the money. I have read possibly 15 books on the history of djing and on what beginner DJs need to know. I taught myself to mix and beatmatch on a cd/mixer numark box. I don’t and shouldn’t get the respect most of you deserve but I am dedicated to being a DJ and I don’t think anybody should bash kids going with digital. I know the fundementals but I realize I need a lot of practice. I’m going with the best available equipment right now and so if you think kids should begin with vinyl to learn the fundementals it is possible to learn those things on CDs or controllers.

ParticipantI’m from Aurora, Colorado and am 13 but started when I was 12 and have been djing for 5 months lol, I got really serious on my thirteenth birthday. I have played the saxaphone for coming on 3 years and plan on playing drums in the band this coming school year. I’m glad that they’re are more djs around my age, I thought that djing this young was a dieing cause.
