    Nothing wrong with dj in your name, I did however put dj at the end rather than beginning.
    To me DJ has ‘moniker’ like status as in dr, mr, mrs.
    I do agree that dj is becoming lame and out of fashion tho.

    I have been with mixcrate a fair while and good friends with one of the guys heavily involved with it. It’s a great site. That said, I also like djmix.net’s layout. If there was a combo of both those sites I would be in dj heaven.

    Sound cloud isn’t by any means the only place. I have my own views on all this.. such as i am distributing music that I DONT make any money from. Here where I am to do it legally it costs about $800 a year. Well and good if i am getting paid for it, but I dont. To me My sets are my creation. If i paint a van gough in the style of davinici with a bit of dahli is it still his work? or mine? Short answer is DO IT! play the tracks.

    but with wifi drop outs it wasnt too fun.

    Whats with Traktor and the wifi fighting ? thats def a con with laptop djing with traktor!!!!

    Hey Emma:), The mash has its place. I did about 10 songs in 5 mins for my little radio spot.mash up is ambiguous too, it could be a vs style, or a just a whole heap megamix style. or mini mix even. Posh ppl could call it a compilation lol. They are fun. Creative. Unique.

    pure laptop djing, you get rsi from mouse movements! Most controlling tho can be mapped to the keyboard. That said, it would be interesting to use traktor with a touch screen.

    I first saw it the other day at the radio station. I have just downloaded it as well, Its very impressive and a whole lot cheaper than I thought it would be. I haven’t paid for it yet I like the evaluation option.

    I would of loved to of live mixed for the show. I think the line gets drawn if we had of ‘pretended’ that the mixing was ‘there and then’ live tho.

    Hmm I faced this very dilemma. Radio interview, I could not hook up my equipment in their studio. So I created a mix a few days before. I think thats okay. It was still ‘live to tape’ without editing.
