Playing a rave or underground club is a different world than playing a bar or a wedding.

+1 I am doing a 60th birthday this weekend. Back to the old school rock n roll…. First time doing a set with digital equipment in a genre I rarely play!

I have my gains staged no problem (audio engineering student that knows about gain stage and clipping).
my only problem is cpu load. 8)

Just an FYI on how loud monitors need to be, monitors should be able to output at 85-90dB SPL (A weight). Why this loud? Look at a loudness contour graph. This sound level is where the difference in apparent volume of frequencies is relatively flat across the spectrum.
