MemberErm thought I posted to this one already.. Where do I start… I enjoy my full time job which is carpentry/joinary/furniture making love creating stuff, building/renovating houses etc.
But also love my bass which ive played must be like 11 years now and guitar about 5.
Sportwise im from a golfing family with my two sisters playing at international level (one is full time professional now) and a dad that coaches outside his main job it is hard to escape it.
Used to also do downhill/street mountain biking but dont have much time anymore plus the thought of getting injured would ruin my income (self employed). And on top of all this there is nothing better then downloading a good movie, getting popcorn, inviting the girlfriend over and just having a lazy day 🙂

And for that I dont need antivirus.
Oo I also leave my wifi on, never really bothers me since cant get a connection in most places and has never affected my laptop.
If there is a factory overclock mode on your laptop, use it and also keep the charger plugged in if possible as some laptops speed up a bit whilst plugged in.

Me and my mates used to do this quite a lot, with traktor 1 it took a lot of changing setting for audiocards (have a small usb one for travel) but now with traktor 2 out I have t1 setup specially for this with a simplified screen and keyboard mapping for full control.
Also used djay on the ipad a few times which worked nice 🙂

MemberI think both artists are creative in own ways but the age says it all 17 years of age… If I was that creative at that age id be a billionare right now :p, he will go far…

MemberId say its the latter then 🙂 lots of djs are using sd cards or usb drives and will have there collection either duplicated on these or have a cable linking the two (this works on the newish pioneer cdj2000’s), I know james zabelia is using this format and it looks like the way forward, there was an interview over on djtechtools where he was saying he fits his whole setlist for the night onto an sd card so it saves having to have cd wallets and then find the song he wants, just use the browser on the cdj.
But yes it would be a bit disapointing if they did the first suggestion of playing in order, I would only do this with not so common songs in case of a software or laptop fail, just so I can keep music playing in the backround :), either that or use djay on my ipad to mix untill im up and running 🙂

MemberI had one for a while which I used alongside my numark omni control, it pretty much gave my control for everything the standard 2 deck controller didnt, I had it mapped for loop control, sample triggering, filters, and with a shift button fx macros that triggerd a few things at once. Only sold because I decided to use my dusty old mp3 e2 for the same purpose and needed the extra cash 🙂

MemberI use a numark omni control and would highly recommend it for traktor pro 2, with the right mapping it seems like it was made for traktor

MemberSometimes its good to not get new songs, you find stuff you wouldnt use before… Use old songs again and recycle stuff :),
Like emma said plan out what you want to say before you get internet to save time 🙂mr stifffy
MemberThought the video was amazing knew by the title what it would be :p I just love the solo soo unique

MemberEmma to answer your last question I am pretty sure these djs not changing cds are using premade cds created the way I do incase my lappy crashes 🙂 … Either a twin cds with all tracks or say track 1 3 5 7 9 on say cd 1 and 2 4 6 8 10 on cd 2
Or these people are using sd cards… Or even a hidden laptop 🙂

MemberBest bet to do would be to go find a good handy carpenter, with this worldwide recession shouldnt be hard to find one out of work, and get the table custom made, something like this in Ireland I would charge maybe 300 euro to make, and that would be to your complete specifications only thing you would need to do is paint it since my spray booth is currently unavailable.

Membercheck the keylock is switched on aswell… ive heard of this being a problem for many people, and uping the buffer rate on your sound card might help aswell
