Don’t lose focus and let the crowd get to your head, be confident in everything you do and rock the place. Mistakes are bound to happen to anyone at ANY level so don’t dwell on them, otherwise best of luck!
It depends what kind of gigs your looking toward, for dark places such as house parties or small clubs some cheap lasers or moonflower can go a long way especially with some fog. For bigger events you need some stronger lights that usually more expensive and are DMX controllable which is a whole other ballpark.
The Terminal Mix 2/4 are great solutions and have great build, You defiantly want a controller that can take in aux input or one that can even be a standalone mixer if need be bc you never know when your computer may bug out on you. The Numark N4 is also a decent choice as I have one myself.
It defiantly helps, I come across so many DJs that are clueless to the technical side and they usually encounter problems when playing in new unfamiliar places.
