ParticipantFirst off make sure your Traktor recordings settings are set to “internal”, second off make sure you have a program that can play wav files as that is the default and only file type that Traktor records in.

ParticipantI’m a little late on this but the concert went off pretty well with a sick after party, here are some pics for you guys to check out. This was my first full fledge concert planned from the ground up and we were able to raise over $1000 for charity (The V foundation & SOS Children’s villages international).

ParticipantThere are so many effects out there (Traktor has 30+ I believe) but sometimes the simpler the better, a good reverb, delay, beat-repeat/masher, gate, and filter can be more than enough most of the times.

ParticipantiTunes, drag and drop. I do this for all my mixes with Traktor.

ParticipantLike everyone said else said, gig circumstances is crucial, its also good to have folder of opening songs that work more times than not. If your playing to a house/electro friendly crowd this work all the time for me

ParticipantIMO I wouldn’t say there are absolute rules as to when or when not to cut the music, your behind the wheel and if you feel the cut fits go for it and see how the reaction is. Sometimes its helpfully to momentarily cut the music while the dance floor is at its peak, imagine everyone singing the chorus of a well know song or throwback that you know you’ll get a positive response to. Just make sure your timing is on beat and that it isn’t for too long. Also some DJ’s like using the cross-fader to create a “gate” type effect and start cutting like a turntablist would. Hence its not appropriate in all situations but thats up to you to be the judge.
