ParticipantThanks for that.
I’ve just text the Mrs to keep an eye out for reconditioned MbP’s on groupon. That’s one way of dropping the hint that I want one.
Thanks again?

ParticipantI used to make them and sell them on eBay, really easy to do.
I’m away from home for a couple of days so can’t really show you any pics etc. But, if you still haven’t succeeded by the time I get home, I’ll help you out ?
Just out of interest, what you wanting to use it with?

ParticipantAre you new to dj-ing or rekindling a past love for it?
I used to be a ‘dance’ only dj about 10 years ago on turntables then garaged them to make room for children (I don’t want to talk about it!) then, last year I came in to a few £’s and looked at what was available these days, I was literally blown away with how the equipment has come on leaps and bounds!
It took me about 1 month watching reviews and comparing software, I eventually plumped for the Reloop TM8 with Serato bundled in (thanks for the review btw DJDT!).
I’m not saying get the TM8 and serato, If you do your homework then you shouldn’t be disappointed when you choose. It is all about personal preference, the questions in the previous replies will definitely help you.

ParticipantThanks Bob & Terry,
In the back of my mind I knew it could be done!
I used to scratch with a line fader using my right hand on the turntable all them years ago (had no cross fader curve adjustment). And now I’m trying to scratch with the cross fader with my right hand and a smaller ‘none moving’ platter on my left because it feels more comfortable! It’s a massive learning curve for me hence the want for some familiarity of a turntable. But! You’ve convinced me (for now anyway) to persist with the TM8 as it does have everything I need, I just need to be patient.
I might concentrate my funds towards a mac book pro instead, my laptop is okay but MBP would be better.
Thanks for your help gents.

ParticipantThanks for the reply!
That’s all I need to know thanks.
I will persist with the TM8 for now, it does everything I need it to do except offer up the DVS expansion. Eventually I will have to upgrade to something better just like any other hobby!
I thought there might have been the chance that I could have connected the SL2 with turntables and TM8 to the laptop and started a complete remap in SERATO.
Never mind..
Thanks again ?
