    Hi Ale,

I’ve listened to your mix, as it’s the style I also play myself – although I tend to play a bit harder Techno. I enjoyed listening to it, your track selections are good and it’s well key-matched. Your transitions are also good, but a little safe. Have you experimented using ‘bass-swaps’? They are perfect for this type of music and can give a real impact to your mix (used correctly). Another good technique to add atmosphere, is having two tracks rise and kick-off at the same time (you can use the loop to manipulate this where required).

The only other suggestion I’d make is to try and look at your peaks and troughs a bit more. At points there is good energy in the track you are playing, but the next track doesn’t follow it through.

Hope this feedback is useful. Take a look at a mix I’ve done recently, you might find a tune you like!

    Thanks DJ Vintage. Much appreciated.

I have got the Pro Mixtape Formula course, so I need to go over the sound section again to check out the auto-gain and limiting.

Yes, the meters do react when I turn the gains down. Should I be able to control this volume elsewhere? It feels more natural to have the gains at half-way, but this then causes redlining. Cheers…
