Memberits all a matter of opinion i personally use a vci100 for deck b + c and a reloop contour for deck a and also have a midi fighter classic for rapid fire effects control

Memberid stay away from the mkII and get a standard vci100 and buy a soundcard like the audio 2 that way you get the software and controller with a good soundcard for less than a mkII, depending on where you live of course

Memberbe unique and play tracks the judges wont expect to hear, but first and foremost enjoy yourself

Memberrb75 it sounds like a latency issue with the s4 audio i managed to lower my cpu useage on my system by rasing the sample size to 192 giving an overall latency of 11.8 secs but if i had overall latency set to anything less the cpu useage was sky high.
i dont use an s4 though i have a reloop contour, also check the audio quality is set to 44100 otherwise traktor will be resampling everything into higher quality that the human ear and sound systems can handle but dont really make any difference

Memberhave a look at audio latency in the settings that may help cpu useage

Memberi would think about a swap yes but not the particular 1 you suggest as the DJX750 has a poor reputation if it was a DJM600 id have no question about it tho

Memberhave you imported the tsi using the big import button twice? have you checked the audio output settings are correct as that will solve the headphone issue

Memberwell if the build quality of vestaxs vci range is not to your taste then i dunno what to suggest as they are built like a tank in way of strenght but from the latest 2 choices id go the vms4.1 ive never been a fan of hercules gear

Memberdeadmau5 also enough said

Membertop and bottom of it is no its not possible to have headphones and laptop speakers as traktor can only handle 1 audio interface output at a time so you can either have external speakers and headphones both plugged into the ddj-t1 or have it out the laptop speakers and no headphones
