+1 for the S2….you could always get a mapping for it to turn it into a 4 deck controller…

I taught myself I’m from that era(yes I’m that old!!) where internet didn’t exist!! We had to earn our stripes with hard criticism!! That’s the main reason why turntables have lasted so long. My advice also would be ALL youtube DJ videos. Because no DJ scratches the same no matter how long he has been in business. And practice like crazy. Because the same day you incorporate scratching. Will be the same day you’re take seriously!!

Thanks. I already started yesterday looking at some videos and practicing the baby scratch. I’m in no rush but I know i need to keep up the with the practice to see some results.

I always make sure to tag my own genres. Especially because now adays there are some many different tracks that fit into different genres/sub-genres…so I usually can put tracks into multiple genres so when I search I can cross over between genres and still make it work…..I agree I find itunes to be pretty bad

I like flux the most. Actually started using it a bit yesterday. I mapped it to my mashine mikro…..However I dont like the fact that it doesnt tell you that its on. you actually have to click the deck to see. There should be like a small F that pops up in the corner when its on. Just a thought, but other than that really nice updated.

The last thinkin im waiting for is proper intergration with maschine. I’ve tried jack piliot/soundflower but just not stable enough for me…I like seamless integration.

the only time i see it making sense would be if it used in a creative way….like playing the normal version then cutting it and dropping a remix of it in another genre. I would do that back to back but never repeat the same song later on in the night…I think its lazy

you can just turn off all the visual features in your softwear…phase meter, no sync, beat counter, bpm info and collapse the deck so you can see the wave form

you would have to make a mapping of your own and assign presets to any open buttons you have on your controller. I use my maschine mikro in midi mode and mapped a bunch of fx presets to different buttons. Juest press the button and I use the knob to change dry/wet….im sure if you looked around you could find some mappings that have these already

U can just use the default mapping that comes with mikro to control traktor. Has 8 hot cues for deck a and b already and if u hit erase and one of them it will delete the Hotcue. The tsi file should already be on your com
