Garageband is free and almost a lite version of Logic Pro X. Try that out and if you like the workflow then buy Logic Pro X which isn’t that expensive tbh

    Hi,

I think I have nailed it.

Import song into MIK 8 and change the name of the song in the following format..

    ARTIST – SONG – MIX

And then let it analyse the key and energy. Import that into Rekordbox and it all works perfectly.

It automatically changes the name of the track in its folder (when you change the name of the track in MIK) its stored in too so its all sorted.

Now I just make backups of the place the music is stored in and I’m good to go.

So what thing would you put in the id3 tags? Which software would be best to input the id3 tags?

    Hi,

I can create playlists from my collection? Doesn’t have to be from iTunes. I want to distance myself from iTunes as i dont trust the way they are taking it. I do think that in the near future, they will stop the downloads and it will just be a streaming service, hence why they are dropping the cost of Apple Music.

    Hi,

I want 2 sets of speakers as my DJ stuff is setup seperately as don’t want the desk so cluttered in 1 place and don’t want to be constantly plugging and unplugging.

    DJ vintage,

Thanks for the reply. What I mean about the loop this is…

In rekordbox, when preparing a set, I can prepare and look at places I want to mix out, if that track has a short end, I will loop it to give me more time to mix out and to phrase the mix out better. If i click “active” on that loop memory then when I load that track in the future, it will automatically trigger that loop at the end. In traktor,it doesn’t do that automatically so if I was sidetracked and loaded that track and forgot to manually trigger that loop, when I come to mix out I would have to quickly fade over to the new track, which would sound rubbish.
