MemberThat is what my thought process was, for the extra money of an SSD I could go with at 15″ instead of 13″, thank you for the help

MemberThanks again for the help everyone, sadly I am still searching for clues. Tried downloading the Malicious Software Tool and it says it is not compatible with my version of Windows. I am currently on Windows 7 Home Premium. All my songs are on my laptop and I moved everything else to an external hard-drive including games, documents, pictures etc. unless I am currently using them. Windows is updated, the only thing I am going to try again s the msconfig. Since your signature has the Macbook Pro, Hessler mind me asking some questions about it in general whether it be here or in a private message? I am looking to purchase a new laptop regardless of this issue (it’s for school) but I was wondering what someones take on it is, who DJ’s, same goes for anyone else with a Macbook Pro.
Once again, everyone.

MemberThanks, for your input, still getting the same issues though. It’s even worse in Shared mode, if that helps?

MemberTried it to no avail. I am getting a MacBook this Summer but I may get one now as it is quite the nuisance. Macbook has nothing to do with DJ-ing, it’s more of a long term investment for school. My debate is do I keep this laptop or sell it?

MemberI have tried the first 3 tips multiple times and still have the same issues. I currently wiped my library, reloaded all of my songs into the collection and I am analyzing them as we speak. If this works I will assume its an issue between the iTunes feature and Traktor? I will reply when it is completed.

This is a video taken off my phone just to illustrate the issue when loading songs. As you can see all the songs have been used before but when I the second song becomes choppy, and you’ll see the CPU meter jump to red.

MemberI think I got it working, its the tracks like you said softcore, it keeps analyzing them causing the lag, thanks guys

MemberNot even late to the party, I missed it but was this everything? Would that mean the Traktor S2 w/ Pro 2 would have been 50% off?
Matt Moncrieffe
MemberOk, thanks for your help guys. I must admit the Mixtrack Pro and S2 are the two I am leaning towards right now. I wasn’t aware of Traktor Duo. Thanks for giving me lots to look into.

MemberOk, yeah I spent about 4 hours yesterday. I am working on getting a Mixtrack Pro in a few weeks but definitely working on the beatmatching, with much help from the sync button. I feel like executing loops will be much easier on the controller so then I can use a hand with loops and hot cues. Currently I have to click back and fourth so its hard but its coming along for 3 days. I got the sound working with the mixer my dad has, to some extent so I can at least practice bass mid and trebles. Thank you guys so much, you are extremely helpful.

MemberOk, it makes sense now. Thank you Emma.
So the Mixtrack Pro has a soundcard from what I’ve read, would this mean I know longer need an external one for my PC? and would ‘ONLY’ the Mixtrack Pro allow me to play a song on Deck1 through speakers and listen to Deck2 on my headphones? or do both provide this ability?
It appears as if the Standard Mixtrack does not have jacks for headphones or a mic, both of which I have with I think its 1/4 plug.

MemberDrew those videos are very helpful, thanks for linking those. I have gone back and started from the beginning of his tutorials. Do most of the software that is payed for like VDJ Pro, Ableton and Traktor all utilize waveform?
Stifffy, thanks for the recommendation. I started looking at price and images of the Mixtrack and I have seen it before. It’s always good to put a name to something. It looks more friendly then some of the other controllers I have seen. Now there are two options, the MMixtrack and Mixtrack Pro, from what I have read the regular Mixtrack comes with Traktor and the Pro VDJ. Some Pro’s can get Traktor as well.(looks like based on Country) Now the difference I have noticed when it comes to the two is on the top the Pro has a delete button but the standard Mixtrack has a tick? Not sure the difference there, from what I have heard tick has to do with acapella?

MemberYeah that sounds like something I would here when I am out, I can identify the song but the bass, and beat differ. Essentially I want to create remixes for a club/party setting.
