    Them in*

in reply to: Traktor Pro and S4 unstable #2044945

I’ve found 2.6.8 to be fine on my new laptop, (windows 8 amd a8 quad core 8gb ram)
Although on my old laptop (windows 7 intel i3 8gb ram) it was playing up and dropping audio every couple of hours.

I bought the new laptop due to these problems, and touch wood, all have been fine my last 6 gigs.

The only thing I notice is the search function in 2.6.8 some songs don’t show up when I search for them by name, but I can find then I a playlist or just scroll through my songs,

Not sure if Anyone else has this problem.

I find the bass ok, when the monitors on in my ears but where the pads are to big when the expand as they are foam they seem to come out of my ears, which then cause them to lower the volume and lose base.

And use your s2 as normal, cue, etc.
the only difference is your running it through a channel on the lounge mixer not straight into the speakers,

    Leave it in internal mode,
then run your master/main out into say channel one of the house mixer,(or any spare channel) as you would a cdj or turntable
push channel fader up all the way,
and then use your master to set sound levels on your s2

    Thanks

Thanks, I’ve found the comfy ear piece the best however you only get the medium size with the dje1500 and a few sizes with the dje2000.

I need a small nit the medium supplied, do you know if I can buy replacements?

    Thanks

Used these Saturday night, the sound isolation is great however there seemed to be a lack of bass, but I think it’s because the foam pads are too long for my ears, as if I pushed the ear piece in again it would sound fine but then after a few minutes they would slowly go back away from my ears if this makes any sense. So I’ve trimmed the back of the foam pads and they seem to fit a lot better and sound even better. So I’ll try them again Friday night and see if that makes a difference, I’ve only trimmed about 1mm from the back end of the foam pad.

I don’t know how to post pictures on this site so I will do if anyone is interested.

it worked out at $30 for 2 cables including shipping to the uk. I did use a cheap usb cable with a built in led which was causing me problems a couple of years ago running my audio 6 s/c…these are coloured so I can see where they are running etc in the dark.

And I’m upgrading most of my gear ATM, so do it all at once I’ll be ok for a couple of years again 🙂

They are here………. First impressions were….sound wasn’t great listening to music from ipad, on itunes. however I have since used them on my mixer and traktor, soundcloud on my ipad etc. and sound superb, so must be my setting on itunes. bass is great but not overpowering.
Highs are nice, crisp and tight.
    Mids are well balanced.

It Was a bit unusual putting them on as I’m used to over ear headphones. But when you put them on properly they stay in place perfectly well, and have not fell out…..if you have correct tips on the end.

The only problem I did find was trying to swap the tips over, as it was quite awkward but this will only need to be done once when you have correct size.
I put the (Polyurethane earbud) which only comes in a medium on, the sound is perfect with these, although I could do with a small size which only comes with the dje2000, so I’ve emailed pioneer asking if I can purchase them.

I’ll use these tonight djing and see how they hold up tonight, sound wise

    🙂

I’ve just ordered the dje1500 in black which should arrive tomorrow morning, I’ll use them to dj with tomorrow night and leave a review on how I get on, invade anyone else is interested.

    Fingers crossed.

Like I said, I did have the pioneer hdj1500 so I would of thought they would be the same kind of quality sound wise as the dje1500 in ear monitors.

I always dj with headphones on both ears, using the cue buttons on the mixer, I can’t get the hang on djing with one sided headphones,
Pioneer have advertised these not directly as dj monitors but they seem like they would do the job,

If my hdj1500 did me fine for £150 I think or hope the dje1500 would be just as good when I get used to using in ear monitors.

If not I’ll have a nice set of in ear monitors to listen to music on the way to my gigs 🙂
