Mainly because it had a good spec, solid direct drive and a USB port. The results I got from it were great but after a few days of turning records over, editing and tagging audio files I lost the will to live and ended up digitising about 20 favourite records and ditching the rest.
A nice turntable though – I think I may have even preferred it over a 1210.
