Hey guys .. thanks for all the input, shortly after i posted this I ended up getting the Launchpad for cheap and the Twitch off of ebay for a decent price. It was brand new, open box and never registered. So when i got it, it was working great, no issues at all. And I adjusted to it quick, and really enjoyed using it .. UNTIL about a month after receiving it, the unit stopped powering up when plugged into the computer. I have tried other USB cables, and other computers .. it does not power up at all. This all happened on Christmas Eve and I had a fairly large gig the next night – which would have been my first time using it out. Needless to say I was screwed, given it being a holiday and 24 hrs till the gig. I contacted customer support the night it stopped working, obviously without a real response till 1/2/13. I was told to try a couple things out to see if would help .. nothing helped. So I provided more info that they had asked for if those solutions did not help. It has now been another week with no response or update on what I should do with the Twitch. In my last response to Customer Support I asked kindly to be given some type of timeframe for resolution to the problem. My next gig is the 18th, and a have a few more lined up over the next 3 months. I need to know if I should be finding a new solution to my setup, cancel gigs, rent equipment.
I am extremely disappointed in the unit .. although until it stopped working it was great and fun to use. I would like to continue using the Twitch but if their customer support is unresponsive than I can not invest, support a company like this. I’m I being impatient in this situation? Has anyone else had issues with the Twitch powering up and/or experience dealing with Novation customer support? If so what is the turn around time for a unit being sent in for repairs? Any help would be appreciated.
