    @DJHessler
    FYI, when I said vms4 and vms2 I actually meant American audi. just picked up on it as can see the links
    are for native instruments. but yes when i am comfortable with the basics i would definately like to start
    experimenting with 4 decks. cheers

    @DHhessler
    Thanks alot for coming back to answer my questions.
    For some reason the links arent working on the pc at work so will check them out as soon as I get home.
    When I meant vestax I believe the model is VCI 100.

    Thanks to all the guys for all your valuable inputs with software etc, I guess what it boils down to is what do i
    preffer and what genre and features suit me best etc. After speaking to a good friend it might be possible for
    me to get my hands on traktor pro 2 and VDJ Pro full for an I.O.U.

    If this is the case and am looking for a controller without being concerned what software its bundled with,
    does this change anyones view on what controll I should get, I will activate the pro version of VDJ tonight and see if using a control whilst playing through pc media set up is possible. This doesnt mean im settling for VDJ but just means could be quite handy.

    So basically forgetting the software what is the best control for 500 and under?? would like to 400 or under if possible
    but if the denon mc 3000 beats them hands down in almost all categories then I think the decision is made. any thoughts?

    Once again cheers to all or input

    Dj Hessler thanks very much for the reply as I know these questions take some explaining. I have been practising on my
    Friends mix track pro it’s an ok bit of kit. Iv been into HTFR and played with the denon and fell in love.
    I wouldn’t really grumble to much at the 499 for the control it’s just the other bits because I then am going to need a small pair of active speaker 60-80 pounds and then the bill adds up. One more question, no after playin with VDJ with no controller, it will let me play the sound through the pc speakers which are of good quality. But for some reason when playin with traktor also with no control I can only play sound through the monitor which sounds terrible. I know these controls have sound cards but to avoid having to get speakers etc is there a way I can use the denon and have the sound through pc speakers? I am definitely bearing in mind your other idea and have a more in-depth look when back from work. Cheers
