    Is it from this site?->http://www.dutchdancelists.com/
    If so, Koala is not out yet (August 4), Hat Tricks, Right Here and Down On My Luck can be considered pop, 4 & 5 are in the Dutch language, and the rest is on beatport. So nothing too shocking if you ask me. Some of them were even exclusives on beatport, like the one from Sander Kleinenberg.

    I think they are regarded as pop and therefore not available. Unless there is an album available you probably won’t find it. I don’t personally experience this as I don’t really care for pretty much anything that’s in the top 40 😛
    If I wanted to find one of these tracks you have so many options it’s silly. There’s itunes, 7digital, the top40 website itself, amazon, the website of the label, the website of the artist, or you just buy their cd (yes, they still make those!).

    Look for ellaskins on youtube, he did a lot of videos on transitions. It’s also a good idea to learn to beatmatch manually, because sync probably isn’t of much use if the bpm varies. There are lots of video tutorials on youtube for beatmatching, including but not just ellaskins.

    the whole thing is weird. You have so many functions and nothing to control them. Even the F1 is shrugging when confronted with Serato. Then there is the number of samples. Why 6? Why not 4 or 8? It feels weird and not intuitive at all.

    Yet it works better for remix decks than for the SP6. Nothing works properly with the SP6 sampler in Serato, not even the DDJ-SZ. It’s ridiculous. They don’t design the controllers for the SP6, that’s for sure.

    A controller will give you the best bang for the buck, unless you want to go vinyl. My own setup is more versatile than a cdj2000 nexus plus djm900 nexus setup, yet costs less than one cdj.

    You have your x1/2 and x2 buttons under the auto loop button. They have a layer underneath them for loop in and out if you press shift. I think that is what you mean.

    They in fact have 12 modes on the SR…
    Hot cue (roll), roll, trans, slicer, combo fx, sampler (roll) plus groups 1-4. Groups 1-4 aren’t even usable in Serato.

    However…

    Most of the modes are hard-wired. All of the pad plus modes have a macro in them, I believe the roll does too. And only the sampler is velocity sensitive. So if you wish to use all features of the remix decks in traktor for instance, you’re better of adding an F1. That’s what I use anyway. Fingerdrumming is impossible on pretty much any controller as you sometimes want to twist the pads 90 degrees depending on your routine.

    Therefore, it depends what you want to do with them. For triggering loops every once in a while it’s more than fine, but for anything sophisticated you’d want some dedicated controller.

    What you can do is have a splitter using one ipad, but you’ll only be using one. You’re better of with a controller with a soundcard in it. If you don’t have the funds for that I don’t know what to tell you.

    You mean with four dedicated transport sections? Not that I know of. It would become quite a hefty controller, carrying cdj’s would be more portable.

    Double click on the value, then you can put it in using your keyboard.

    I don’t like Serato that much, but I have to admit that it’s the most reliable dj software I’ve used. I’m on windows 7 btw on a pretty old laptop (HP Elitebook 8530w). I’ve had crashes with Cross regularly in the latest version and a few (just 4 or so over a whole year, but still) with Traktor. None whatsoever with Serato. All functions work as expected on my controllers as well. I know about a bug in the DDJ-SZ but that has been taken care of as well and was not the fault of Serato.
