MemberVery nice looking, although the jogs seem to be real fingerprint magnets.

MemberI don’t think it’s too bad a price. A Mixtrack Pro and the Serato DJ upgrade still comes to less than most Itch controllers.
Lew
MemberIt’s a spammer.
Lew
MemberI don’t think it’s poorly worded. If no hot-cue is mapped to that slot it’ll store one, if there’s one stored it’ll select it. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

MemberStill practicing (but not nearly enough these days) but when I do it’s usually old-school hardcore, hardcore breaks or rave breaks.

MemberWere those controllers originally DJ Tech CDJ-101s by any chance?
Lew
MemberHave a look at this one (it’s a mapping for 1.2.x but the bits you’re interested in are the same).

MemberIf you’re ripping them, and especially if you intend to use them for DJing then you really should keep the originals to be on the safe side.

MemberYou have to select the classic EQ in the settings if you want the EQs to completely kill at 0%. The other ones, as you have found out, don’t completely kill.

MemberRather than try to go in-depth and explain it, try having a look at how I did it in this mapping.

MemberThe VCI-400 isn’t really an upgrade from the VCI-300 as it’s not an ITCH controller.

You’re joking, right?
Lew
MemberThe reason for the recommendation is that the Mixtrack Pro is widely considered the ideal starter controller, just look at the poll results for the “What do you think is the best Entry Level Controller?” thread in this forum for an example. The jogwheels on the Numark controllers are really nice and are a good size.
Also, with so many people using them there are a ton of different mappings available so it’s pretty easy to get it set up in a way that suits you. The other bonus for the Mixtrack Pro is that in addition to the normal bundled software (Traktor LE or Virtual DJ LE, depending on where you are) it’ll also run Serato DJ Intro which is quite nice (and has fantastic cogwheel response with the Mixtrack Pro).
