ParticipantI’ve tried this site and was very satisfied by the drops I got there.
http://www.radiodaddy.com/requests/forum/239-dj-drops/
There is a lot of artists in there. You can have free drop or exchange of a donation. Naturally you’ll have faster answer if you intend to pay for it.
Works as a forum but read the rules carefully before posting something, they have very strict rules on spamming and bumping posts.
Hope it helped you
Cheers

ParticipantI miss the time when there were more Hip Hop/RnB nights in local clubs but there is less and less of it nowadays. Kinda sad cause i love this kind of music and had a lot of fun in the clubs during those nights.
Seems we’re now in the EDM era with loud beats and people awaiting for the epic “drop” of the songs in the club. The new generation will grow up with the new mainstream EDM stuff and less with Hip Hop and RnB like the generation before.
I’m not a music sociologist but that’s my vision of it.
December 27, 2013 at 9:23 pm in reply to: Repeated question of mine: How to smoothly transition songs with lots of vocals? #1022501Raggy
ParticipantTransitions between 2 hip hop tracks without intro are rarely smooth.
It’s often including some scratch, backspin, crossfader cut, etc.
I guess listening to some hip hop mix could help giving some ideas and the key is always practice and more practice.
I love to mix hip hop and i often have the same problem as you for the transitions but unfortunatly there is no magic trick, choose the right transition depending on the mood and beat of the 2 songs.

ParticipantTerry and Chuck are right
Just do it for yourself and the love of it, dont bother yourself with the rest
There will always be something or something trying to down you but just keep the focus and don’t put yourself down.
Happy holidays !

ParticipantWould personnally get bored being behind the deck for 5 minutes pretendig to mix
I sometime use some mashup things that hype the crowd for like a minute or 2 or longer if I have to leave the deck for a longer time.
Otherwise premixed transition and things like that are kinda lazy.

ParticipantI use bpmsupreme.com and i like it. 20$/month for a lot of stuff and song versions, including videos.
The negative point is that they don’t have a lot of older stuff but they’re working on it.

ParticipantYeah those are nice tips.
Often try to do this during my practice sessions, selecting some random songs and try mixing them togheter. Putting ourselves out of our comfort zone is something hard to do but it’s a great way to improve the creativity
