Guys, honestly. Don’t you think you’re a little bit one sided? I agree with you, the beats are overpriced, they are a fashion statement, but they’re definitely not “crap”. The price far exceeds the quality, but if you’d be so lucky as to find a pair of beats pro’s, used as a demo headphone, and sold half price, it wouldn’t be a BAD deal. I’m not saying it’s DJ-headphones, but I’m not willing to say they suck.
And while we’re on it. Even though we might think it’s sad, fashion statements are a big thing! Branding is a serious business. Deadmau5 uses his led-mask-thingy, and it’s probably quite expensive – Though gives nothing to the actual music. David Guetta and Skrillex have their Beats headphones, and like it or not, it’s a part of their image and probably made them “cooler”.
Some people try to copy them. F*** that. But honestly! The branding. I acknowledge it’s existence, and furthermore, it’s importance.
