Participantthe acapella is too quiet and it sounds a little jumpy. not in key. it could have potential though, finish it first!

Participantare you going to carry it with you to gigs? how?

Participantindeed, check out remixes, mashups, transition tracks, extended mixes of songs. i know that feeling because i’d been practicing on some progressive/electro house tracks but my gigs right now are limited to top 40 and i’m still learning that! i’ve been learning a lot by going to clubs and listening to what the DJs do there. my tips: hotcues are your friends, extend the track with loops and bring in the other one, filter/backspin-smash to the next song, search for good cutting in the songs (eg DJ Fresh’s Gold Dust and Hot Right Now have a backspin effect in their intro)

ParticipantI got it today. Been playing around with it for a little and it’s really good! Really easy to set up, the knobs are very good, jogwheels are good enough for me. Buttons are kind of stiff, though.

Participanti don’t know which browser you use, but try pressing ctrl+s and save the webpage somewhere. i also found this application: http://www.upload.ee/files/2765013/Tap_BPM.exe.html – just download it to your pc and you have it.

Participanthere, study this:

http://www.upload.ee/image/2752690/vdj2.jpg – in virtualdj, right click on that [title / artist / …] bar and select those two i marked in red. and the green box – click there twice to view the numeric key. now only move 1 step up or down (or stay in the same key) when you select the next track (when the key diff down there shows 0 they mix together well).
other general tips: listen to more mixes, dj mixes don’t necessarily have to be 60 minutes – they can be 30 or 45 as well. viel glück!

ParticipantYeah I tried the Mixtrack Pro (a DJ at a small party let me have fun with it for a little bit) and just thinking about touching the sandpaperish jogwheels gives me goosebumps.

ParticipantThanks, I decided to get it. I’ll post feedback once it arrives!
