The latest dj tips controller guide gives both 5 stars. I have just bought the mc6000 from http://www.cleverboxes.com for £545 and its a beast of a unit that will take all the knocks. I would agree that build quality is the best of all the units and its got all the inputs and outputs you could ever need. Most reviews complain of it being cramped but it feels fine for my fingers. It has four physical chanels but is not as portable as the reloop. Denon have released new mapping to control sample decks and looping recorder in traktor pro 2 and are starting to advertise it as a pro 2 controller. At bpm I was impressed by denon, vertax and reloop from a build quality point of view. Although I haven’t got the experience of many on the forum, all I can say is I am not disappointed in the mc6000, maybe even more impressed than before. Everything will depend on the cash you have and the portability you need.

Just bought the mc6000 from a company called clever-box on line for £545 including delivery. An absolute bargain!! Should be with me tomorrow.

Why is everything such a rip off in the uk? The mc3000 is retailing at $599 in the us. That’s £376 at current exchange rates. With uk vat added that’s only £450 so why retail at £499 in uk. I am at a loss!!

I don’t think the pricing strategy of £499 is a clever move considering Denon only includes a le version of traktor. There is no innovation and the competition twitch £399 and s2 £489 both very good machines include full copies of the software. They should have copied the pricing strategy of the mc6000 which is priced at £619. This is much cheaper than the competitors ns6, dj-tt1 and s4. Denon have also released an update to allow the mc6000 to use tractors sample decks. I would have bought the mc3000 if it was about £450 but now having second thoughts.

Unless better quality, it needs to retail at around £450 to compete with the s2. The price will be a factor on me ordering this or the twitch.

Cheers phil! Am I right in thinking you cannot change the mapping in itch?
