As stated above, the single most important thing i have realized to learn is, scales and chords ect… it helps so much much i feel like everything makes more sense when i am arranging songs. Such as this

I knew nothing when i first started a year ago and i have come along way since then. Its easy to think of what you wanna make its another thing to actually be able to make the sounds. I ve just started learnig basic chord theory and it helps a lot. Stay persistant and you will be fine! GL!
To get past this i’ve just been fooling around with the start of the song so its different and it has worked each time for me. I listened to your pursuit of happiness mashup and its pretty good but it sounds like your going from high quality to much lower quality… just something i noticed.
