Hey k shox
I have an NS6, been using it for about a year now. It’s my first controller as I’ve always used vinyl and thought having the 4 deck digital and analog combo would give me the best of both worlds. I really like the controller, it’s built really solidly. I do a lot of scratching so having something that doesn’t move about is a plus, although on the flip side of that, when it’s in a flight case it’s pretty heavy and bulky.
I tried a fair few other controllers whilst looking for my new toy and within my price range it was definitely the best of the bunch.
Now with all that being said….I use a MacBook Pro early 2015 i5 2.7 512SSD, and have been happily mixing away for about 5 months on it until last weekend when my Mac decided to upgrade to OS X 10.10.4…. No more NS6!! Serato still works, I’ve updated the ns6’s drivers and rolled back to the old versions, it doesn’t even register as a midi input. I’m stumped! No signs of Newmark releasing a new driver version.
So I’m not sure your planning on running your set up on, but hopefully that’s food for thought. Like Terry said, it’s a bit outdated now. It’s a bloody good piece of kit, but I think it’s days are numbered 🙁
