ParticipantHey guys, thanks for all your help. But the controller I finally settled on isn’t any of these actually lol
I was able to up my price range a little bit and after much research I fell in love with the Numark 4trakJust purchased it yesterday and after a few holdups trying to get it setup it’s finally working with my full version of traktor pro. Can’t wait to become efficient with it because the things a beast, I definitely recommend it.
….also, after all the research I’ve done on dj controllers in the past month I’m considering applying for a job at my local guitar center because I knew more about those controllers than the sales consultant there did that I was talking to lol

ParticipantHey, for starters, I just googled what the Akiyama Sirion SC was and I would stay away from that.
-It’s not a well known brand which is sketchy in itself
-I have like an american version of that controller under a different branding (pyle pro) they call it Pyle Pro Pmidi-100 and I wouldn’t recommend it.Out of those options I would probably go with the mk4 but also look into the Numark Mixtrack Pro. That’s widely considered the best entry controller, wish I would’ve gotten that to start years ago.

Participanta controller isn’t necessary. only thing I use my controller for when making mashups is changing the bpm of the acapellas to match the instrumental. You don’t even need advanced software like ableton, just depends on how well you work with what you have. For example I use garageband, yes garageband, and can do pretty much everything I need to. you can check some of mine out here: https://soundcloud.com/jaynebra

ParticipantYah it’s the one I’ve pretty much settled on after doing a lot of research.
-tight traktor intergration
-lots of customization (jogfx mapping already out there if you like that kind of thing)
-stand-alone mixer
-4 decks
-well in your budget at only 649.99I can’t really compare to any other seeing as I haven’t had any, and it’s all a matter of preference but I feel like that has a lot of what you’re looking for

Participanthave you look at the numark 4trak?
i know that’s not exactly narrowing down your options sorry lolJay Nebra
Participant^ thats what im leaning towards now. the twitch is the only thing stuck in the back of my mind. those performance functions with the 8 pads look awesome but I’m not a huge fan of the overall look of the twitch or its software
Jay Nebra
Participantalso, what are your opinions on the novation twitch?

ParticipantI dont have any other audio sources to connect, possibly in the future but nothing as of now so that’s not really an issue.
Could you tell me what the LE version of traktor would be missing compared to the full?
and what kind of price are we talking about to upgrade it to full?EDIT: I figured those out ^
let’s say that I have traktor pro 2 already for all of these controllers, and they are all the same price..
now which one would you guys prefer?Jay Nebra
Participantvery nice! thanks for the love man,
im sure ill be posting new ones in the mix section as they come outJay Nebra
ParticipantHey, I’m a mashup artist myself so maybe I can shed some light.
If you’re into more classical mashups then I would check out mashstix.com (it varies in genre though)
But if you really want to investigate, I’m a part of turntable.fm which is an online music sharing experience I guess I would define it as, where you get to be on stage and play a song (DJ) for whoever is in the room. and they have a specified room for mashups only. That’s where I learn about a lot of great songs and artists.
I’ll list you a few really good artists to check out and you can explore further on turntable.fm if you’d like
