DJPatrick (born James P Durham) was born in the 80's. His parents both worked (and met) in nightclubs. They would later start a booking agency for DJs which became Patrick's introduction to the scene of music entertainment. His love for the effects of music and career as a disc jockey began in 8th grade, but it never blossomed until his senior year in high school. Patrick's dad had gone back to the bar scene at the urging of a prominent club owner and dad decided it was time for his son to see what he was all about. Eager to learn a passion they could both share, Patrick quickly took to beat-mixing (which, back then was done entirely without computers and the "sync" button). Father and son took the city by storm and thousands came to see the duo mix sets before the club's unfortunate undoing in 2006. With no college education, Patrick began working any event he could to make ends meet including proms, weddings, bowling alleys and the dreaded "karaoke" nights. Finally, after a recommendation from the club owner who employed his dad back in the 90's, Patrick was hired on at a sports bar in Knoxville. The proprietor saw a true passion for dance floor energy within Patrick and remodeled the bar to incorporate late night dancing on weekends. Now, just weeks from the birth of his own son, Patrick is once again rocking crowds with an eclectic mix of all electronic genres reaching as far back as the day he was born, and life has never been better.
