Depends on what you want to achieve. There’s the Kontrol X1 / F1, midi fighter as said above, lpd8, korg nano series and it goes on. Personally I’d go for the first two for dedicated triggering effects and samples.

Thanks for the reply Phil. The cost of the controllers are both 180€. Do you think it’s a good deal? I’m leaning towards the VCI-100 as of now. I haven’t taken the sound card into account yet although I could easily just get one later on. I’ve searched a bit for audio interfaces before and found an NI Audio 2 DJ and a Fast Track Pro which costs 60€ each. My priority is of course the controller at the moment.

May I also add the Behringer CMD STUDIO 4A in the list? That seems to be a Mixtrack Pro Killer.

Either of the two is really alright with me. I both want to do them and I’d get them both if I had the money. But right now I want to do dj mixing a lil bit more. I just need a confirmation if the dj controller I’m picking, which is the Xponent, is a good choice and a starting point.

Alright. I’ve played around in some softwares today in particularly of Virtual DJ, Traktor and Torq. All basic setups like how they just were right after installing. I must say I found myself more comfortable around Torq and it has the best interface out of the three. Torq has the most fxs while Virtual DJ pro was so-so.

I’m both up to dj mixing and mash ups on the launchpad. Either way is cool for me.

Anyway now that I have a software to choose from, I made some research by myself. My price range is 200 like the price of the launchpad. I could stretch my budget a little and go for an xponent (229). Is the m-audio xponent good in your book? What do you guys recommend? Thanks for the feedbacks!
