In August 2013, a strange being appeared out of nowhere , he knew nothing about the things of our society, except for one thing and that is music. Where he comes from is unknown. Rumours exist that he was dumped here from a planet somewhere to lead the people of Earth into a new musical universe or perhaps he was some science project gone wrong by messing around with atoms and the DNA of the elite celebrities.Shortly after appearing on Earth he was stumbled upon by Heinrich Behr( a resident in Cape Town). Detrakt has been his apprentice and responsibility ever since. Detrakt started honing his aliennatic skills to be able to make the beings of Earth party and understand his twisted sense of logic. He started DJing wherever he could find acceptance. His fan base and supporters grew by the day. Everybody being too afraid to ask questions. Just allowing him to do what he does best: Playing and making music. Ever since slowly but surely his musical revolution has started taking shape. Recognised locally and internationally. Creating mixes for local radio stations and being approached to play internationally. Gaining recognition from international DJ's such as Cutee B. Detrakt brings energy. excitement and mystery to all his performances ensuring the crowd has a jamming experience to remember. Detrakt isn't tied down by a specific genre and rather expands the musical boundaries.
