ParticipantI have never used LE so i cant say…but i have never had a problem with my tagging if done properly. This is my method.
Download songs put into Media Monkey, revise tagging and get all the info in properly (Star Rating in Media Monkey does not transfer to Itunes or Traktor)
Then I import my songs into a Playlist ( Playlists i arrange by date…i download the song…not my actual set list)
This is where i will use the Star rating and start building my set, and will create playlists based on Date of my show. Once that is done i will open traktor and import the playlist into my Traktor Playlists.
I also have meta playlists or whatever they are called that will automatically create playlists based on Grouping field or Star field etc.
Example:
The Playlist will automatically add songs that have 3 – 5 star rating, with Electro Genre, and have Big Room, Banging, Peak Hours tagged under the grouping field.

ParticipantPowered Speakers run like most Studio Monitors.
The outputs for the Mixtrack are all RCA if i remember correctly….so you have 2 options…option one is like u stated to run the red to 1 speaker and the white to the other speaker. The problem here is that the RCA cords sound degrades for anything over 4′ in length….real world application i would say do not run an RCA for more than 12 feet as it really will degrade your sound. I recommend that you buy RCA to XLR cables…this will help deter the sound quality.
I always reccomend that you have 2 speakers in this case unless you switch your output to Mono for the 1 speaker as a lot of songs in stereo have different sounds coming from them, as well as panning which sends the sound from left to right.

Participantselect all the songs you have revised tagging and right click and check consistancy. That should re-import all the changes to the id3 tags you have made

ParticipantMy 2 Cents being a Traktor user who has the S4.
The S4 is a great controller, works flawlessly with Traktor and i wouldnt get rid of mine. HOWEVER!
I think that the new VCI-400 EGE off the DJ Techtools is probably a better controller. It has more functionality and has a host of new controllerism abilities that cannot be found on the S4. The only thing that i am leary of with the Vci400 is that it is a independant mapping made by DJtechtools not the full 1 to 1 mapping found on the S4.

ParticipantYeah I think the 30 mins a good idea as well.
When i have some free time i will discuss this will the mods and phil and see how we can go about setting this up…and maybe even have a fulltime thread for stuff like this.

ParticipantNo worries bud.
For setting your cue on load point…there is 3 tabs per each deck…it is Beatjump, Beatgrid, and Cue…now on the bottom right of the track deck there is a pull down slot that is labeled Cue…u can click that and it should come up with various options:
Fade in, Fade Out, Cue, Load, and Loop…just set your cuepoint then click the box and change it to Load.

ParticipantI use Media Monkey to organize all my music for tagging management etc. then i will use Itunes to setup the playlist, Group ETC…and then load into traktor.

ParticipantThe best way to mix these songs is find your mix in and mix out points…and set your grid there…Normally a song should not drift within 16-32 beats…and if it has it may be that Traktor has set the BPM wrong. If that is the case it is best to manually set the beatgrid using the tap tool then adjust your beatgrid to match.

Participantwithin Traktor…there is an tab u can add “Date Added” Just click that one and all ur newest songs will be on the top of the list 😀

ParticipantKk If anyone has real interest in this can they inbox me the following:
DJ name, Real Name
Location
Style of Music
This is just so that i can compile a list of everyone who wants to try this out…I will keep on bumping this thread to peak interest and after 2 weeks or so i will send instructions to everyone on how to proceed! Once that is complete I will create a new Thread…with all the DJs that entered, and they can post their link of their mix. Everyone can then vote!Hee Won Jung
ParticipantWell mixcloud would work because it is totally free and people can upload them with relative ease.
voting would be done on this forum board of course 😀
The way it would be done is some basic rules:
1 hour mix, any song selection. create a new Thread with the voting option of all the people who have entered and off we go.

ParticipantImO I think Glitch will becoming more mainstream as the current Fluffy, happy face EDM has died down and Glitch will help pave the way for Hip Hop to come back more mainstream again.
What goes around comes around…Right now…we are in the 2k disco era…happy bouncy music that makes people wanna dance…shits so fluffy its like stuffing a toy Pomeranian in my ear. Its gonna die down and things are gonna change…Always happens.

ParticipantCheck out Glitchy and Scratchy, Glitch Mob, iLL Gates, iLL-esha, and Dewey dB.
All great Glitch!!!

ParticipantGlitch is really growing on me. My fav. Glitch right now is Pretty Lights…he is a sample based producer that has been kicking out some crazy ass beats
