    Thanks for all your help guys! Went to Guitar Center & got the Denon MC 2000 & a pair of MB-Audio AV 40 speakers. Very excited to get started!!

    Or do I even need external speakers to get started? Haha- I’m new…so have no idea.

    Thanks for all your help friend. I really appreciate it. Good to know about the software.
    Haven’t thought about speakers yet. Running it off of my MacBook Pro with retina display. Once the speakers be portable. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for getting back to me. So awesome of you!

    I am glad you mentioned the Denon MC2000. I did some more research since I wrote this earlier today and am thinking of getting the Denon MC2000 and using it with the Serato DJ intro just to learn the basics for a few weeks. Then was thinking I’d pair it with the Traktor Pro 2 software once I learn a bit. What are your thoughts on that?

    Do you think I’ll need any extra plugs/cables? Also- I do have some Bose QC 15 Headphones. Will those work ok for starters or should i consider something else?

    I mostly want to mix tracks & make neat mixes like in Pitch Perfect (if you saw that movie). Once I learn some things I want to post my mixes in videos on YouTube. Then DJ at some local places- but not the main goal in the short term.
