I have the Z1 and X1MKII + a F1 I normaly use my DDJ SX when I play out but at one club they have a CDJ2000 + DJM 800 setup so I just bring my laptop and X1. I have done a few gigs with only the Z1 and X1 it works perfectly but I did miss the Pitch fader and jog of the SX.

You can pitch bend and adjust the pitch with the X1 but it’s just much easier with a fader then the Sync+loop knob on X1

My friend who has a CDJ2000 + DJM900 NEX sometimes borrows my Z1 and X1 because his Pio setup is way to heavy to carry up many stairs and I really likes this setup and is considering changing to it permanently.

I have 1996 WV Caravella/Eurovan/Transporter T4 (Same car but name depends on where it’s sold) Would love to get a new model of it. Love the T6 version.

I’m no scratch DJ so I can’t really comment on if it’s not possible but just referring to what others say that do scratch. It’s doable but not as tight as the jogs are with Serato DJ

I’ve been using Propellerhead Reason for several years and I’ve produced all kinds of music with it. Since version 6 it has had audio recording and now also has rack extensions. It has everything built in that you would need to produce songs in any genre

And to make your choice easy. Serato is dropping the Scratch live and are only going to work on Serato DJ from now on and the SL1 will not be supported with Serato DJ.

I’ve used the DDJ SX with Traktor from the day I got it november 12th last year up until May this year when I started using it with Mixvibes Cross. I still use it with traktor each saturday as I’m the DJ for Team Klaksvik witch is our Handball team. I need to use a lot of samples so Remix decks are needed.
If you not into scratching the DDJ SX + Traktor is even better match then S4 + Traktor IMHO.

Guess if this thing work with Ipad, why in the world we want the Z1, while we can get this all-in-one solution right out of the box ?

Not everyone want’s to DJ on an iPad and the Z1 + X1 MKii are a match made in heaven for some small bar gigs

    3. power cord huh i will figure that out with duct tape lol

that would prob only make the problem worse no way for it to unplug so it will get twisted and bent during transport.

Anyway I’m on Mac and have been since I started DJ’ing again in 2010 I’ve never used Windows for DJ’ing only for music production.
I agree with all reasons Chuck mentioned about why to use Mac

Shame on you for not using Cross 😀 but I’ve used traktor on some of my latest gigs because I’ve used(tested) my Z1 X1 setup and haven’t mapped it fully for Cross yet. This week is dedicated for mapping the X1 for Cross it’s mainly the LED I can’t get to work.

all the controllers on this page http://www.mixvibes.com/compatible-controllers are supported by Mixvibes CrossDJ, Witch means no need to do any midi mapping (programing).
For the most part all controllers are mapped in a way that they do what is labeled on the controller so if a button says loop or play on the controller that what it will be mapped to in Cross.

A match made in (the DJ booth) Heaven. The default mapper is good but I use my own it’s always buttons I think should do there things then the labels say 😀 I only need to touch the computer if I need to search for a song everything else can be done from the SX

I’ve used my DDJ SX with Traltor for half a year before I switched to Mixvibes Cross. The DDJ SX works perfectly well with Traktor the Viper mapper is grate and there are still some pads left if you like to mapp it even more

“Play something we know” me. “like what?” guy. “I don’t know”
Yes sometime it has happened. I’ve even once or twice got a request to play the song I was playing.
