I only use traktor library I have some folder simply named (Dubstep/Top40/Hardstyle etc.) In Traktor I make playlists again just some simple names. All the cool house/club tracks go in a playlist I called mega night. I have some other lists like 80’s 90’s Rock’s Dupstep DNB and I add to them every now and then. Once in a while I’ll listen through them and remove older not so cool songs and try not to have more then around 100 in each list. That way I have a playlist whit good songs in several genners so I can easiely shift a style and continue in that style without much problems.

used to drink alot while DJ during a period but after one time when I fell over the deck and my laptop went flying out on the dancefloor I’ve never DJ’ed drunk again. I now sometimes 2-3 beers at the end of the night then I can drink a few more while I wait to get payed. It also depends on where I play. When I play othere towns or events where I bring my lights I need to be able to drive after the show so no alcahole what so ever.

Order placed 😀 so happy now I never got the VCI400, by the look of how it works I would asume the decks are mapped to individual midi chanels ( as the VCI400) to be able to send 2 comands in dual deck mode. that will make mapping so muche easier. Just mapp one deck and copy in Xtream mapper and change channels.

I have a personaly made Mashup of “Flo Rida – get low” that always works for me. Gangnam Style also but I already hate it.
Also remixes of some old hits seam to work.

it is cool but unfortunaly most skins have to small waveforms for them to give any usefull info.

Will have enough money after this weekend to place my pree order 😀 but thomann.de won’t have it ontill 5. of november 🙁

Imagine if this had send/return 😀 adding and RMX1000 to the setup 😀 it can still be done but s/r would be better.
I’ve spent most part of the week planing how to map it bet for traktor pro, with 2.6 bringing flux mode it can become the ultimate Traktor controller too.

by the looks of it the pads look more le Maschine size then the F1 size
Compared to the NS6 it’s just a tiny bit bigger but all buttons on the DDJ SX are bigger

I want this so bad I’ve been using 2 Radius 3000 and a VMS4. I only used the Radius because of Bigger pitchslider and Jogs and I did some size comparison in Photoshop and looks like its just the size I want I will map it to traktor

The size is not really a problem for me as it’s 25% smaller then my current setup. Also I have to carry 2 flightcases for now.

I would go for stereo, you might not think you need it now, What if one day your going to need them in stereo, are you going to rip them again then. It will not take you any longer to rip in stereo only the files will be bigger. Also by riping them in mono you lose part of the soundscape.

My planing goes into what I put on my laptop. I download music to my iMac then listen throughoutly through the songs and what I feel I might play gets on my laptop. SO I only have the most likely songs to play in any style on my laptop. I have around 4000 songs on my laptop rainging from old 70 disco to now. So I’m prepeard if the crowed turns out to be my age or older I can still play what they like. But if someone my age starts dancing to Rhianna the I see it as an insult if I would change to 80 pop just because of their age and might make give them the impression that I think their to old for this shit 😀

I do have some playlists in Traktor based on club bangers and usely use them as a preferance when I play but I’ve never pland a whole set and never will, I just have some songs sorted that I know are cool and freestyle from them.

I used to use iDJ pool but after 3 mounths I just gave up. It was realy good for ceeping up with Bilboard hit list but but there are no prelisten so I had to download 3-400 remixes/Dance/club versions every week and then listen through them all to find maybe 10 that were ok to play. I now use DJ city and I do have to listen to several songs to find the gems but it’s not as stressing as listening to 400 songs every week.

Yes Traktor has 8 so open advanced panel in the deck and use 5-8 for markers.
If they don’t have to be cue’s you could in File management in preferance unselect the stor beatmarkers as hotcues. that way you can set set as many beatmarker you like without taking up any hotcue’s.

I see the keyboard in front of the laptop, maybe that’s what he’s using. I know this isn’t one’s guys stuff, but how do you bring up tracks on a keyboard versus a controller? I dunno.

That pioner controller you see is not a controller but an FX unit the Pioneer EFX1000 and that part of the booth is eather not used this night or used by an other DJ might even just be a fixed instalment in the booth.
