ParticipantI would maybe class it in experience levels and an open one for all. I’d say maybe quarterly maybe and that’s all that I think can be said from me. A cool T-Shirt or something would be cool for the lower levels or something, because after all…there’s bragging rights 😀
As for the higher levels, noooo idea.
I’ll leave the judging up to the more experienced dj’s (well criteria)Grant
ParticipantSounds like you need a vacation there Vintage 🙂 Come check out the West Coast of British Columbia if you’re ever around. I’m on Vancouver Island and it’s a beautiful place, everyone should check it out once in their lifetimes 😀

ParticipantHow about Canada Vintage and Terry?
I’d love to get my hands on the Beatmix 4 asapApril 3, 2014 at 11:40 pm in reply to: Should I invest in my first controller or the master class first? #2021370Grant
ParticipantThat’s great information here! I’m just holding off on the Master Class so I can save up enough money for the Reloop Beatmix 4 (maybe even the 2 if I decide that I want to use VDJ 8 (which is coming soon) or Cross). I’m more confident in buying gear before classes because I don’t have a controller yet and I’d love to have one to practice on and get a ‘Real’ feeling for it.

ParticipantRemember…this is totally a fun idea to just try at home…if it starts drifting…start scratching :p (I don’t own a controller…yet….but I’d try it just for fun).
Good info though, I’ll be sure to come back to this thread because as of now…I’m nudging via the ‘←’ ‘→’ on the keyboard 😀

ParticipantEven though that I’m new to this still, I love the fact that I can seamlessly be able to keep the music going from one track to another. Being able to reinvent the way we think of music going from something that was totally uninteresting to something that becomes one of the biggest mix / remix of something ever! I love the idea of even tying the same song together to create something unique and knowing that it’s never been heard the same way before. Taking the lyrics of a said song and adding it to a beat of an other song to create something entirely new. I for one love beats in a song, and that’s always the one thing I remember the most instead of lyrics.
All in all, I love the idea of digital dj’n and bringing ones imagination to life via controller, turntable, laptop or cdj’s. So far it’s been a great experience and have even dj’d small parties for my friends from my Android (Cross) and was able to provide a great atmosphere. It’s almost like playing (pardon my words if it offends anyone) GOD of a party in being able to control the energy in a room via being the DJ.

ParticipantDon’t forget that there’s the Reloop Beatmix 4 coming out soon which is 412usd and that will come with Serato Full.
