You don’t have to have an specific genre that is your favorite! You have to have your own unique colelction that you can mix with! Also, if you want new tunes, I’m a member at an music sharing community with some DJ’s too. So if you want any advice. Give it a look. You can even post your mix there and see what people like/dislike. On this forum, I haven’t had so much feedback.

Hope to see you there. Link is /

Correct me someone if I am wrong. Aren’t demo’s supposed to be shorter? I’ve never done a demo, but if you present to someone, he must not listen to 20 minutes beofre choosing if yes or no.

Concerning the demo, it is good! The transactions are well made, but you mix different style together? Is this what you wnated? Dubstep with electro (Deadmau5) and some pop songs. It all depends where you want to play and what for. And usualy for parties and all that, you juste get named by someone. You know someone who’s organising and want you to be the DJ. This is how it works unless there are many DJ’s at your campus and that it is something official.

I’m using mostly podcasts? I’m listening to some progresive hous podcasts. Best way to discover music! Hardwell on Air, Tiesti Clublife, Dada Life and many more. If you want to have more, just send me a PM.

Also, I’m on a FB group (link below) with friends sharing music. We mostly know eachother and we have similar muscal genre. So it makes discovering new tunes quite easy. Everyones discovers something good and posts it on the page. Don’t hesitate taking a look there.

Omg, I’m reading another language here. I haven’t taken any music courses so far. But you’re obliged to write it this way only?

Take a look at my signature! We are a group of DJ’s mixed with normal people posting music everyday. This is, in my opinion, the best way to share music. Small groups, with the same interests! Give it a try.

I must admit I haven’t tested SO many in-ear headphones. But I liked their sound compared to the DNHP700

I guess when people go clubing, they do for the music the DJ is playing and his style! If the DJ gets fired, than maybe the other isn’t as well known to rock the club. So then, the audience he made goes along with him and then financial problems come!…

I think even manual beatmatching is hard in those kind of music. Am I wrong?

Bottom line: DJing is (mostly) playing other peoples songs to make other people (not you!) happy and have a good time.
All the things we do like beatmatching, effects, loops, scratching, you name it, are only the added flavour that will make it more special.

I totally agree with everything except what is in bold. Yeah, to be sucessfull, you have to do this. But over all, being a sucessful DJ is making the people love YOUR new hits and music! And playing music you don’t like, is not going to be fun as DJ and you may be sucessfull, but will you like it?

The BOSE IE2, are amazing in ear headphones! Since it’s bose, they have a natural PUNCHY bass. More punchy then my DN HP-700, but not to punchy for casual listening. I find them amazing : really comfortable in ear (I even slept with them once, and they never got off), nice clear and natural sound (typically BOSE), veryy durable and they are around 90$ CAD. Tell me what you think!

If you have a smartphone take a look at MIE2i. Same headphones with audio control, microphone!
