ParticipantI´m at work, but I´ll definitly listen to this at home. We have the same musical direction. Maybe, if you got time, you could listen to my stuff:

ParticipantThe Intro goes definitly foward. Sorry but I´m not registered at mixcloud, so have to comment here. Definitly dancable… your transitions are direct, but just right placed. Whats very important to me, is that you could dance trough the whole set. There is one thing… the MSTKRFT drop wasen´t that good… there is this quality and rhytm down swing. But the slower bring-in of the next one is very nice and worked for me… Very good work.
If your intrested in my stuff:

ParticipantI´ve checked your 128orGTOF-Mix (or exactly->listen to it while I´m writing). The Intro is very nice and sick. We don´t have that dubstep-culture in germany, but I wish so.
Shave it!!! Very nice! Very danceable… transition was easy, but very nice…Very good mixing between “shave it” and that other one… don´t know the name, but know the song. Your built ups are very creative and good placed. I like those slow transitions… so everybody can get used to the new sound, which comes with the next song. Your effects-play is very good placed and it isen´t to anoying….OOOUUUHHHHHHHH… That dubstep-drop was genius!!!!!!!!! (I´m head bangin all the time).
Okay…okay… you´re followed…because you play music, which is exactly mine. A bit of dub and dance. The dubstep and dance transition was very nice, especially the drop.
If you´ve got time, give my stuff a chance:

ParticipantI think effect combinations in Traktor are most intresting. I use the Mullholand… (don`t know the name exactly) and the reverb. I kill the dry/wet and put the reverb and mullholand up to 85-90% and put them on. Then I slowly bring the dry/wet up, which creates a nice swoooosh sound. In that way I can create my own buildups and drops. And its even good for transitioning.

ParticipantCommercializing?!? WTF?!?
I think everybodys dream is to earn money with their passion. If he does what he likes and makes the music that he likes, I think everythings gonna be okay. And whats about urban? I think if you are popular and sucessful with your music, its very hard to stay “urban”.I like Guettas sounds. With his new album he really brings things forward for erveryone of us!

ParticipantSo… News from my side:
I´ve sent my VCI back and got the money back. I ordered the new numark N4, which arrived yesterday (1 out of 4 prototypes from elevator.de, cause this one will come out on jan 2012). I´m know done with the basic 4Deck-Traktor-mapping (cause this controller comes with virtualdj and serato dj intro). This gear is about 400€ (half of VCI-400). Its a full 4deck-midi-controller and a stand-alone-2channel-mixer + it will work with timecode. It works with asio4all. Every button, knob, fader and even every led (not like vestax) is completely mappable. The built in soundcard even works as stand-alone-soundcard (not like vestax one), so I even can watch movies with it (if i wanted). And… the reason, why I´ve sent my VCI-400 back (it only works with latencys > 80ms)… this gear works with 9.6ms of latencys (4decks running, 6 effects turned on, 4deck simultanious cue-jugglin). When I use the N4 under realistic conditions (4deck mixing, 3 up to 6 effects running and a little cue-jugglin) latency won´t even matter.
The new N4 is mofu GREAT! I´ve bought a Icon Istage specially for cue-jugglin with it and I just spent 500€ (400€ the N4+100€ the Istage).
The only thing about the N4 is, that its build out of plastic and there aren´t that much buttons, but like I´ve sad, you could buy a second controller with it.I´m so disappointed about Vestax sellin me a 800bugs-Beta-versioned-gear with driver problems and a loose power supply… and THX to Numark for this great piece of gear.
I recommend to everybody, who´s disappointed with repairing the VCI-400, the Numark N4. Vestax… never again!Goomo
ParticipantHow do you create thos mofu-deep-sounding basses… You produce with ableton right? The wooble is done with LFO-Effects and sync-rates, right? But I don´t get those deeply bass-sounds…you know?
