In comparison to something like the Pioneer DDJ-T1 it’s great value.

I think the S4’s price is very fair, especially considering it comes with a full version of Traktor Pro 2. And I think making the faders replaceable would have made it EVEN bigger.

I’d love to pick up a pair of CDJs because I enjoy using them, but it just doesn’t make financial sense. All I’d use them for is running timecode into traktor, so essentially as a pair of insanely expensive jogwheels. Still, if I see a good price on a 1000 I’m always very tempted!

It’s amazing, but costs a BOMB and is more of a mixer than a controller. It’s definitely more than the OP needs to spend.

The NS6 looks sweet, and ITCH is pretty good intuitive software (the forthcoming ITCH 2.0 looks to be much improved). That said, the NS6 does weigh a ton, and is pretty massive. The S4 is very good, and the software’s great once you get the hang of it, which doesn’t take long.

To be honest the NS6 would probably do everything you’d ever want it to, being an analogue mixer as well as a midi controller, but it depends whether you want to lug it around everywhere.

Right, let’s try and sort it here then. What exactly have you tried in terms of importing the files?

    The order should be:

    1. Delete all mappings. If you have mappings for other controllers that you’ll need later, export them somewhere safe.
    2. Import with the big import button at the bottom of the controller editor, making sure you import both mapping and effects settings.
    3. Repeat step 2.
    4. Restart Traktor.

If this doesn’t work, reinstall traktor and try again.

Yep, but it was only Button driving for Brawn in 2009, along with Rubens Barrichello. Lewis has been at Mclaren since he was about 12 lol.

I love my MidiFighter, and I’m not turntablist!

I actually went to the race in Barcelona this year, and Vettel won there too 🙁

I keep telling myself it can’t last forever…

Pretty much on release, and I already know it does. Check out my hands on review on the blog from a few days ago.

depends on the radio station, but you should be able to get BBC radio 1 online which is pretty reasonable.

We certainly have fewer adverts than you guys! The F1’s on the BBC so it’s totally uninterrupted, even if the program ends up going on for 6 hours like it did 2 weeks ago in montreal.

Well you didn’t miss much today, very boring race. I used to watch hockey last year cos I had a canadian housemate, got really into it. Haven’t been able to keep up this year though! The mens’ olympics final in vancouver was incredible 😀
