MemberI personally love gimmicks. I don’t love masks, because a mask doesn’t really “theme-ize” your performance, and enhancing your “theme” will give you a remembrance and recognition that has a longer life. My advise is to find a girl to help you pick, not a costume per se, but something more “in the direction” of a costume. Be an artist, not just a dj.

MemberDeciding on a build-up/ break-down pattern that you like is a good start

MemberAbleton live might be a good start. A bit expensive, but you could fine tune everything.
I don’t how about iTunesFileSpnr
MemberSounds very similar to complaints heard about the typhoon.

MemberI’d be nervous that something was wrong with it. Either the crossfader or jog top. Not generally impressed by the build quality enough to trust a used one.

MemberI’m not sure what happened either. Thats what i’m trying to figure out.

MemberI like the SCS4DJ the best (disclaimer, I was the lead tester for this product) but that is still my Honest answer. I like the S4, but it ain’t worth what they charge for it. I wouldn’t pay a penny over $600 for it.
The VCI-300 is a nice controller, better than the S4, IMO.
but the 4dj gives you so much, and costs less than those others…FileSpnr
MemberIznremiX, post: 11379 wrote: pretty cool stuff! i can see automated scratching creating a huge fuss if its ever taken up by one of the big 3 djing softwares :p even as some1 who doesn’t scratch i’m a little iffy about it.
It’s one of those “hard to rap your head around things” at first, but i think once people understand that the automatic scratches will be user configurable, then they will see it as an art, same as regular scratching, cause it will still take practice to create something original.
Oh but wait, most of the scratchers these days, all wanna do the same sounds anyways…FileSpnr
Member“I use alot of eye contact and I also gesture to people and even ask them to come up and speak to me…if they are interested in the music…getting atleast one person or the “mascot” of the evening is crucial..they can set the tone which spreads like wildfire to others at the tables…”
yes, exactly !
