MemberJust an update, I have purchased the F1 with Traktor Pro 2.5 included.
If I really dont get on with the kontrol F1, then I can sell it on and in essence, the difference I have lost, will have been to buy Traktor Pro, which hopefully shouldn’t be too much.
Also I have had a look at the reloop TM4 and it looks really good, but I am currently finding it hard to see past the S2, and also worried something newer and better will be released, as the digital world seems to be moving at such a fast pace
Thanks to everyone who helped advise.

MemberAh decisions decisions. Does anyone have the F1? Or upgraded from the mixtrack pro to the S2?
I can see myself upgrading to the S2 at some point, but what are the chances a new version of the S2 will come out soon?
Ess Jay
MemberYeah both the f1 and s2 come with pro…

MemberI have played a few small events, and yeah it is completely different to playing in my bedroom so I agree with you on that.
1 of the main reasons I am looking to upgrade / add, is that I feel the S2 looks and feels much more professional, than the MTP, which when I was speaking to a bar owner he referred to it as “the cheap beginner one”.
2, just because I think I would enjoy learning and playing around with another controller such as the F1, whether I choose to include it in any sets in the near future is debatable.
3 – I can’t bare to spend £80 on traktor pro, when I will get it free with an upgrade in the near future. And having gone back to traktor LE, I am pining for Pro back again so I can record sets and trigger samples on a 3rd deck.
Sorry if this seems like I am disregarding peoples advice, which I am honestly not. Just trying to explain my situation as fully as possible

MemberThanks. Something I forgot to mention though, is that I also need to upgrade to traktor pro, as I currently use my cousins laptop, but he wants it back. So I thought buying some NI hardware was the most efficient way to get it

MemberHey, Im from Sheffield, but study up in Durham. Played a couple of college events using just a laptop, but got my first proper gig in newcastle in October. Where you from? Do you play out?

MemberI have just landed my first proper gig too in Newcastle, and I am feeling exactly the same. Sounds like good advice to take on board so far

MemberThanks very much. Going to try find a pair of each to try out, as iv fallen in love with the look of the red waves, but don’t want that to cloud my judgement.

MemberI have the mixtrack pro and use it with traktor. Absolutely love it. Only downside is it looks a little toyish, so when i start playing at other events than house parties and uni bars, il upgrade to something else. But value for money I think it’s great.

MemberCheers, and also the dry wet for main at the top of traktor? Does that over rule the individual effect dry wet or is it something different?
