If you start doing a radio station let people know on here. Sounds like your really passionate and I’d be interested in listening if / when you start it up. Just do what you enjoy.

Plus its a lot more respectable. Not that respect is everything nor that gear is anything, but people judge. And if you want gigs, you need to be able to impress people.

This is a good point, I moved on from the MTP pertly because it looks toyish. I have now ended up with a kontrol s2, but the MC3000 was definitely on my short list. Chose s2 because of tight Traktor integration, and looks sexy next ti my F1

Listen to and give feedback to other people’s tracks and posts. Even if you don’t feel qualified, say it how you see it. 99% of punters will have different views, so there is never a wrong opinion. Almost everytime I have given someone feedback, they have emailed me regarding a mix iv done, and given some great feedback (some very harsh but fair).

Cheers. Mind set on the S2 now. Please NI don’t do a price drop, or bring out an S2 MKII over the next 6 months.

My main annoyance with it, is the plastic design though. But i guess il get over that. The reloop spoilt me with all sexy metal

4trak is £600. Looks a really really nice controller, But can’t afford to spend that much at the moment.

And I hate the fact that it is $600 in US and £600 in UK

I really can’t see past Traktor, however much I would like to.

Yeah I do like the look of the S2, but after having the DJ3 ME which had a wealth of knobs, will I find it a bit lacking? No dedicated filter knobs etc.

Can you remember what the shop is called please? Had a look online and found very few DJ shops in Newcastle, all with limited variety of stock.

Why do you say avoid B-stock?

You can access all your music on itunes through Traktor. It is really easy.

Tried everything and can’t see a phone number on that page, everytime I go to update the firmware on the UsbUsg updater, I just get “Time out error”…

Don’t know what I can do to fix that

Each to their own. I find it has a completely different atmosphere. People could sit and have a drink and socialise, whilst others can dance the night away listening to 3 different DJ’s. And there are no noise complaints.

DJing a silent disco was such a weird feeling for me. Luckily they do them quite often at my Uni, so hopefully will get another one soon.
