MemberMaybe because I’ve been mixing and listening to trance all day and my head is full of music, but the pure minimalist simplicity of the original version was a perfect track to end the day on….thx U31

Member@Deathray I do use the sync button during my sets to make mixing easier and why the hell not? etc
I’m 100% with Deathray on this one. Using SYNC frees you up to be much more creative at transitions. In an earlier forum that was raging about beatmatching and Sync, D-Jam made a very valid point which resonated with me where he said that we are far too obsessed with Beatmatching and where the focus should really be is on “Blending”. Yes it vital to bring the next track in on beat or else it will sound terrible but I think the real skill and talent is in achieving a nice/interesting harmonic blend with the next track. (of course there are exceptions to every rule though … doing a quick drop etc).

MemberThanks Phil ! Thought I’d try to lighten your load a bit !
I like the lay out and size although I thought the spec would be similar to the XoneDX
but it seems that maybe in order to keep the costs down this unit will have fewer features which is
a shame. I really would have liked to have seen XLR out and separate sample buttons
(that’s just purely my preference for the way I mix).Looking at the second pic I can’t make out where the sample buttons actually are. With the S2 they’re
overlapped with the “CUE”, but on the MC3000 the “CUE” are numbered 1-8 . Are C & D sample decks ?@simon : I do like the look of this deck but couldn’t wait for it. Let’s see what the price is I may sell the s2 and get one:) why no pro 2 ?
Simon didn’t you just recently purchase the S2 ? Has it not lived up to you expectations ?

MemberRR have you started using the Zomo ? Any updates?
eros
Memberlol !! Where do you start with that comment !?
So by that rationale if a pilot is using auto-pilot
then he is not a real pilot ?Seriously, whether you use it or not all that
matters is the sound coming out the other end…period.eros
MemberHope this post isn’t too late D-Jam.
If the genre is trance then I always like Armins State of Trance Year Mixes for inspiration.
15 mins is around 6 tracks, it’s all quick change ups and drops mostly.eros
Member@Kranic re: feedback
Just to update you, spoke to my friend who in turn spoke to a lawyer.
Turns out that the name was already in use by some other DJ (in the UK I think)
so now they both have to change !eros

Yes I think you made a good choice there. Enjoy & let us know your thoughts on it once you start using it.eros
Member@DJ Hessler And remember that Denon has not yet released the product, it has not an official spec yet!!!
Hey thanks for that post mate. Yeah the main one for me was the booth out. I thought that
overall it would be similar to the XoneDX, but you’re right I can use the 2nd main as a booth I guess.I’m hoping that the leaked pic isn’t the final product !!

MemberI guess this isn’t really the place to go for advice about which CDJ’s & DJM to buy as most of us here are digital/controller advocates.
Also I think that many of us here can’t justify the cost of the set up you suggested as we feel that digital is not only a more cost effective solution but also offers more creativity in your mixing and sets.
However all that aside if you are going to go down the CDJ / DJM road then get a set up that is easy adaptable to digital so you can have the best of both worlds. So I would recommend the DJM 900 Nexus over the DJM 2000.
Also Arbite is 100% correct. Plugging into a club mixer needn’t be a huge ordeal. Here’s a good how to :
