ParticipantRead and follow this article:
http://www.djtechtools.com/2012/07/25/mixify-turntable-fm-for-live-dj-streaming/Within the article you have a link to an older post they made about how to stream with your dj software so if the info not enough, you will find more info within the same page.
Trust me it’s easy (on windows it’s even easier) 🙂Erik Toth
ParticipantWell I’m not in UK but +1 hour shouldnt be a problem. I’m home in house/trance so if you want an extra person just let me know.
Ps: I’ve streamed on mixify a few times so it’s not new there.

ParticipantNicely done man!
1 year, just like me. I dont have video but I do live video streaming on mydjtube.com every week plus couple of web radio shows.
Once again big gratz!Erik Toth
ParticipantJust as BoomBox said check the output routing.
To answer one of your questions above: No, you dont need a splitter or anything. Mixtrack Pro has inbuilt soundcard so it saves you from all this things.
As your controller works in vdj as intended then it’s not a fabrication fail or something. So just mess around with the output, check your mapping for the 2 cue buttons (above the Laod A/Load B buttons) if they are mapped correctly and do what they supposed.
Good luck!Ps: Test default and/or get a mapping from traktorbible or djtt and try with that, too.

ParticipantI started to use Trainspotter a while ago and I like it very much. All the job I’ve done before manually checking up songs it does in a sec on Beatport/Discogs. It can crash from time to time but it never messed up my collection. So I could recommend it.

ParticipantJust because you see a CDJ2000 doesnt mean that person using CD. I had a person argue with me that digital djs sux because real dj use CDJ. I explained to him that just because he see a CDJ that doesnt mean that CDJ is not in midi connected to Traktor or whatever. It’s not for fun Traktor focusing on CDJ integration.
But I guess for some ppl it’s just too much to understand.Erik Toth
ParticipantYou’ve got a like and follow from me. Keep up the good work!

ParticipantMTP ships with VDJ LE in USA and with Traktor LE in Europe if I remember correct.

I just think its alot of money for something that I could get for free. Why all th cost?Answer is simple: It’s a tool. It cost that much money because a person has put time and effort into making that program into a user friendly reliable tool, that saves you time. Instead either using lots of time for looking up your track’s key or use an unstable or buggy free program…you have this.
That’s to answer why the cost.My story is like other ppl’s: I started without even knowing about harmonic mixing. I made my mixes strictly on what I wanted to put into the mix to tell the story or the message I wanted to give. When I couldnt “force” 2 tracks to work together….well it sucked.
I’m 100% sure that those mixes are quite far away from “harmonic mixing” but they did work.
So as stated above….it’s a tool and as all tools it’s there to help you but not make the work for you.
If you can afford it then get it if you feel that…if not…then you gonna be good without it, too.Good luck!

ParticipantThis is pretty much like many other things on the internet or in life.
It is useful, yes. Necessary? No.
All the info that MiK gives, you can find in other ways, too.
You can use free software to find out the key of the songs or use beatport to search the name of the song and check the key there. Or if you are using VDJ or got a copy of it you can check it there, too.
Thing is with MiK that it does what it does quickly and user friendly.
MiK check for keys gives you a nice little camelot wheel there you can click around and it shows your songs in that key that has been added to your collection.
The rest is up to you.
So if you want you can save your money and spend your time to get the same info. 🙂Erik Toth
ParticipantI’ve started with Mixcrate+Soundcloud combo…. After hitting the ammount of mixes limit on soundcloud I’ve quit uploading there and went over to mixcloud.
I still continue uploading to mixcrate every new mix because the dates of upload is like a background history for me. (yeah I can be sentimental) 🙂
Mixcloud is cool and I specially like that you can use song list from traktor/serato so you dont have to type the name of the songs in your mix.
I’ve jumped on the mydjtube train, it’s still a very-very new site (just turned 1 month old) and you can upload and rank mixes there.Erik Toth
ParticipantAs said above: record everything!
And dont be afraid to experiment. Even if it might sound strange when you record the mix but it can actually sound pretty cool when you listen it back. I had such aha experience many times in the beginning.Erik Toth
ParticipantGrats man!

ParticipantMany times I feel I should use more effects in my mixes. But tbh I’m on the idea that if I feel an effect fits into the mix then I use it and if I feel it doesnt I just skip it……tho I might skip it too much.
At least no one can tell me I beatsmash and flanger everything to death. 🙂 -
