I agree Lynnjamin, I am also enjoying this new book! I wish I had it a couple years ago, but after doing the MasterClass and then getting on to this, maybe it is the perfect progression. I have a Pioneer We-Go controller, but have been learning to DJ almost exclusively on DJAY2, because my focus is doing outdoor portable parties – “GrooveMobs” – out in the streets and DJing on the iPad is so great for that. Just the bit about mixing in key on DJAY2 was more than worth the price of the book. Wow! Anyway, I love it, and it reiterates a lot of the stuff that Phil teaches on the other courses, so it has been great reinforcement. I can’t thank you enough Phil – as they say in Sweden: “Tack, tack, Tusen tack”! (Thanks, thanks a Thousand thanks!)

I agree with Bob6397 that you should try to “pair up” the speakers and the subwoofers with the same brand. I have an older Yamaha “StagePass 500” PA System, and when it came time to get a subwoofer, I paired up a Yamaha HS8S subwoofer with it (on the Guitar Centre dude’s advice), and it worked out really well. Rocks all the house parties I have held and even worked out OK for small-ish outdoor events. Good luck!
