MemberIt lloks to me like she (the DJ above) could have just played the ‘Fluff On The Needle’ all night and people would still be ‘Screaming For More’ – Screaming For Her To Take Her Top Off in Essence – but How is that DJ’ing ?
If you have to look like a Tramp/Hooker to get a Gig; but then people actually Pay You; well; You are the Winner and the Crowd are Fools; and I bet she is Laughing all the way to Ann Summers for her next Outfit;Emma Partnow
MemberSoundCloud is my Main Source for Audio these days as I like to Promote New Producers; and the ‘Discovery’ of Audio ‘Outside Of The Mainstream’ is something I find Really Exciting 🙂

MemberI have 4 Decks for Tracks; with an EQ Eight on Each Deck;
2 Decks for Loops; with a Ping Pong Delay and a Beat Repeat on Each Deck;
2 Decks for Samples; with a Beat Divider; Chorus; and Bass Pre Tone & Colour on Each Deck;
2 Decks for Effects; which include a Reverb; Simple Delay; and an Auto Filter on Each Deck;
This is my DJ Template I Always Use; and my Loops and Samples are Cut from Tracks I have in my Collection;
I Personally like to Run Tracks into each other for 2 Minutes as Standard; but this is just a Technique I have learned; and it makes it Much Harder for the listener to know when One Track Ends and Another Begins;
I Use Automation on Every Deck (which is ‘Sometimes’ set up Beforehand on Samples and Loops ); but by ‘Midi-Mapping’ the Automation on my 4 Main Decks comes just from my ‘Twiddling Knobs’ 🙂Emma Partnow
MemberI have Quake 2 for PC with 3 Add-On Packs 🙂

MemberWith Acapellas it is Paramount to find which Downbeat the First Part of the Vocal begins on; as it is Very Often ‘Not’ the First Downbeat it could be the the Third; Acapellas Often ‘Drift’; and this is Why I Rarely use the Whole Acapella; I find the Main Hook; the Chorus; or just a Repeating Sentence that ‘Fits’ Really Well with the ‘Remix’ we are Creating/Composing; (or Original Track we are ‘Layering’ the Acapella over);
If you don’t have the Original Instrumental (which is Often the case if we don’t have the Original CD); the Track ‘May’ be on YouTube which will give you the Opportunity to find out Where the Vocal comes in Relative to the Original Track;
I have been Working on a ‘Martin Solveig – Hello’ Remix; and it has been a Nightmare; as other than the First Verse; None of the Rest of the Acapella fits into a 4/8/16/32 Beat; and so I have had to Cut It Up (the Acapella); and Re-arrange it (with Great Difficulty) so that it Does Fit with the Track I have Composed;
And as Andrea said; we can ‘Tap’ out the Tempo (in our DAW – or with a Free ‘Tapper’ from the Web); which will give us the BPM (or at least a ‘Start’) as because as you have already mentioned (and I Agree) the Acapella will ‘Drift’June 30, 2011 at 11:01 pm in reply to: So who DOESN'T use Traktor, Serato or Virtual DJ as their mixing software? #1000715Emma Partnow
MemberNo; with ‘StutterEdit’ you can use your Computer Keyboard or any Musical Keyboard (not the Correct Description for that I am Sure :)); but; however many Keys on your Keyboard you have produces a Different Effect; so if I had a Piano Size Keyboard than that is the number of Effects Available; but of Course Every Effect is Customisable;
I thought NI Massive was Incredible (and still do); but the Customisation on ‘StutterEdit’ is Unbelieveable;
The following Video (after a minute or two) shows some Amazing Capabilities of the Software 🙂Emma Partnow
MemberHow I Wish I had had a PC capable of running these Games as the skins you are talking about are Awesome !
I ‘May’ now have a PC Powerful Enough; but could Never understand ‘Keyboard Game Control’; though I do now have a Convertor so I can use an XBOX Controller (though it Lacks Many of the Processes a Keyboard can carry out);
I used to ‘Mod’ Fable and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (through Coding); and it was a Wonderful Time 🙂 😎Emma Partnow
MemberHello Sam :);

MemberI have ‘Glitch’ as a VST on Ableton; it is Very Cool :);
Last weekend I got ‘StutterEdit’ from Native Instruments; but have yet to find out whether it is just a Gimmick or whether it can actually be used in a Creative Manner – although Experimenting (away from the Presets) has in fact been Quite Cool 🙂Emma Partnow
MemberOh Yes :);
Quake; then Unreal Tournament were Absolute Classics of mine; the Ladder System in UT has Never Been Bettered 😎June 30, 2011 at 9:41 pm in reply to: So who DOESN'T use Traktor, Serato or Virtual DJ as their mixing software? #2098Emma Partnow

yeah i love the VST support too..Thank You :);
Yes; I have to say that as VST’s have Increased their Capabilities in recent years; that I would Miss Any Program that didn’t Support this Facility; and with Torq being ‘Made’ or ‘Developed’ by the people who make ‘Logic’ it has an Undeniable Track Record for Excellence 🙂Emma Partnow

What I Enjoyed about Torq was the fact that it has VST Support; plus 100MB of Loops Preloaded for the Sampler; and Especially the New Technology of the Morph Crossfader – that Felt Extremely Innovative 🙂
