    As for me, I am a studio bassist (no more gigs, had a few hundred and got fed up), on weekends working as a DJ.. During the week (when I take off my Batman costume) I am a lowly linguistics student..

    I don’t think you will be a Linguistics Student for too long Max; I think you will be Turning Professional (DJ) in the Not Too Distant future 😎

    I have been having Many Problems with my Laptop over this past week; and today I had to wait for it to do a ‘Defragment’ (which in the end it couldn’t actually do); so; whilst I was waiting I played on my XBOX360;
    I was playing Red Faction: Armageddon; and it is Excellent :);
    The Ability to Smash Virtually Anything on Every Map was Exactly what I Needed today :cool:;

    Thank You So Much Everyone for your Comments and Feelings Expressed in this Thread so far 🙂 :);

    My little Story/Event/Experience occured 2 years ago when I was on a Music Technology Course at College;
    As the Students were asked what they did ‘Musically’ (myself already having said that I was a DJ/Producer); the Tutor; having asked all 15 people in the room; said; ‘I am So Pleased we have a Room Full of ‘Real Musicians’; oh; apart from Emma; who is a DJ’; and then when the last Student came in late and was asked the Same Question; and had replied that he was a Drummer; the Tutor said; ‘That’s Great ! Finally I have a room full of ‘Real Musicians’; as the last 2 Courses I have had to Teach have been Full Of DJ’s; oh; sorry; Emma is a DJ is as well’;
    I Felt Mortified and also Ashamed; the Fact that we were there on a Music Technology Course; Learning Logic; seemed to make ‘No Difference’ to him; and though I Wanted to Walk Out there and Then; I Stayed; but Felt Very Rejected; especially as during Group Work Not One Person in the Room Spoke to me; as if I wasn’t Worth Speaking To;
    I did Confront the Tutor on the following week (having decided that I had paid my Money and ‘Why’ shouldn’t I be there); and he Apologised; but throughout the Course his Manner did not Change; I was Still Treated as Nobody;

    What brought up this Unfortunate Incident (something I was hoping to just Forget); was seeing the ‘Exact Same Words’ written on this Forum yesterday; which I found Unnecessary and Unbelievable;

    It is Wonderful that people who Do Play Musical Instruments have already stated in this Thread that they Appreciate the Complexity of DJ’ing; and I Completely Agree; I would like to see these ‘So Called Real Musicians’ Operate Ableton; Traktor Pro; or any other Software (or Hardware); and Deliver a Professional Set over 6 Hours :D;
